Not sure if you answered this question before, but whenever I use MCPATCHER (the latest one) to download Doku's Texture pack, instead of staying in Beta, it returns to Alpha, without pumpkins and such and messing up A LOT of things. Please fix? Or link me to an earlier post regarding this? Thanks.
I messed up and I want to patch it so it is back to normal again. Whenever I open minecraft it goes to a black screen.This is what was on the log window.
Right click the Finder icon on your dock and select "Go to Folder..." In the window that pops up, paste or type ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin and hit enter. Drag the file called "version" to the trash can. Run Minecraft normally and it will download the original again.

I keep getting an error message upon selecting Singleplayer. The game works fine I delete the bin folder and try again without the patch, so I know it must be the patcher. It reads as follows:

The problem is the tool tips are killed by this patcher. I didn't see any other posts mentioning this so I thought it should be noted.
I probably would have never noticed this, thanks.

You don't have enough memory for it to start up. Sometimes Minecraft doesn't close right and the processes hang around eating up memory. Press ctrl+shift+esc to launch the Windows Task Manager. On the processes tab, click the Image Name column to sort by it. Find any ones that are java.exe and click End Process (this will close any Java apps you have open, like Minecraft, so be careful).
If that doesn't work, or you don't find any java.exe processes, try rebooting.
If it still doesn't work, maybe you'll get a new computer for christmas!

This shouldn't be happening with the latest version of the patcher. Try deleting your .minecraft/bin folder.

Was this a crash or just an error when you exit? It's in the sound library so it probably has nothing to do with this patcher.
im not sure what im doing wrong,
im trying to edit just the terrain file but i dont know how, which ends up with my lanterns with 1/4 lava on them :sad.gif:
okay I have some questions, but its not about an error or anything.
Question 1: Can hd texture fix, increase the size of the water.png in the misc folder? 16by16 is super small, and kinda wondering why water is inside the terrain.png and in water.png, but the client uses the water from water.png ?.?
Question 2: Where is the compasses direction display located? I can't seem to find it in the folders, wanted to change it from the default :sad.gif:

As far as I know, the water.png file doesn't even do anything
The terrain.png file is for the default water in-game, and custom_water.png files are for custom animations
EDIT: I just changed my water.png file to a dark green color and nothing was different in-game

There is no png file for it, the compass needle design is coded into the game
Again, I could be wrong, but I'm almost completely sure no png file has the needle

aww :sad.gif: dang, i so wanted to change the compass display :sad.gif:
hmm water.png does nothing? hmm i changed the water in the terrian.png and instead of showing my water it shows the default water in water.png ?.?
which folder does custom_water.png go into? I using notches in game texture manager but i use the hdpatcher to set the offsets.
OK, so i was using my texture pack before beta came out, un-patched.. i didn't mind the no fire/water animations for the night, i wake up.. see the epicness of a new patch and decide to download it [i host a video on how-to install texture packs with a link to this thread, so i like to know if stuffs working.. etc] i install it just as OP said, and i'm getting HORRIBLE lag by looking at animated things.. all except lava.. before patch with texture pack i was getting a solid 100+ fps, with me standing in front of water/torches/fire i get 1-3 fps..
As noted in the picture i stared at the ground for a good little bit, then up at a torch, then back at the ground, then back to the torch [this thread is now ] Anyone else having this MASSIVE FPS Drop?
okay, i have a question. i downloaded a texture pack and extracted it to the texturepack folder and it won't show up on the texture packs and mods window of the minecraft launcher. it says open texture pack folder and when i do, it's there. what am i doing wrong?

you dont extract it you put the zip file in the folder

Is there a way to remove the patch so i can play in my browser again?
My watch isn't working (it just shows the purple where the graphic is supposed to be). I don't have a compass, so I can't say if it works or not :tongue.gif:

seriously?
delete your entire minecraft folder....this is to anyone who wants a fresh start.
if you have single player saves, back them up.
otherwise...a full delete/install always works

I have some questions of the Source code ( I can't get the compiled version to work, so in order to help debug better, I want to see if there are any specific errors being thrown ).
I noticed right away that the source needs the javaassist (so I DLed v3.14.0, which removed a ton of errors).
Next, the following classes / methods cannot be found:
Minecraft,
javassist.bytecode.MethodInfo.doPreverify
CheckBoxList,
de.innosystec.unrar.Archive;
de.innosystec.unrar.exception.RarException;
de.innosystec.unrar.rarfile.FileHeader;
RarTexturePack
If you could help with finding the libs to get rid of these erros and add them to the OP, that would be awesome, thanks!
Link on the first page - https://github.com/pclewis/mcpatcher/downloads - I believe you'll want to grab the 1.1.9_04 updater.
