xau, if you're updating the patcher soon, be a dear and make it recognize and use any custom_water and/or custom_lava png files it finds in a texture pack when patching PLEASE
you'd save so much confusion in my installation instructions ;-)

It's quite a marvelous texture pack, my dear!
Now, from looking at the skins you've got for Brimstone....er... lightstone... whatever... I personally think the Tiffany design suits the outer world moreso than its counterparts. HOWEVER, I'd love to see the others somehow implemented into the pack later on.

I'm having an issue. Sorry if I'm just doing it wrong, I didn't read through the ~30 pages of praise and complaints.
I had this problem with 1.1.8, and now I'm getting it with 1.1.9 too. The error message says this:
There was an error opening minecraft.jar. this may be because:
- The file has already been patched
- There was an update that this patcher cannot handle
- There is another, conflicting mod applied.
- The jar file is invalid or corrupt.
And then it goes to the patcher's menu. The menu itself works okay, but whenever I try and select my Minecraft icon to go in the "original" box, that same error pops back up and it won't go any further.
I know for a fact that this is the first time my Minecraft file has been modified in this manner, so that's possibilities 1 and 3 eliminated, I'm getting the same messages from .8 and .9, and people have gotten .8 to work, so I don't think possibility 2 applies... Does somebody have input for me? Eternal gratitude can be yours!

I used the patch and it messed my watch up. It use to work fine but the portal didn't work, but now the portal works and the watch is messed up.
Is it because the terrain.png is a 32x32 but the items.png is 16x16?
Things are animating super fast though. Animations based on custom_water_flowing.png and custom_lava_flowing.png are super fast. To flow at any reasonable rate the file has to be huge. A 30 frame loop (makes for a huge texture with 64p) still flows twice as fast as the old texture.png based water (to say nothing of the texture.png based lava). The still stuff animates pretty fast too.
Is it framerate based? For me it could almost stand to be halved

*cough*
This would be wonderful. You are 100% pure awesome =D
Beg to differ. I would bet anything there is at least 10% squishy in there as well.
Cast aside your festive doylaks: dragon stuff is about to happen.
Multiplayer is lonely once you understand how it actually works.
Alpha 1.0.4
We all have 10% squishy in us. To be otherwise is unhealthy and possibly life threatening.
LATEST UPDATE:
1.1.9 - Portals, watches, and compass fixed by Kahr. Install custom_*.png from texture packs. Fixed crashes/reduced buffer size on 16x16. Fixed "Run Minecraft" from inside .minecraft/bin folder.

It should pop up a log window which you need to copy and paste the contents of. Are you sure you have Minecraft Alpha v1.2.2?
If I go ahead and try to load it again, it gets longer:
