This Fails with the latest client. -.- ran the patcher, selected the texture pack disabled all 5 checkboxes and hit patch. it goes through log doesn't say anything about the terrain. opening the jar shows it didn't even transfer the textures. and the new build in texture mod fails to work properly. -.-
the texture packs contains nothing but image files, you can't patch that. Plus, you can use the built in texture pack loader as it is, after you patch the corresponding size. Just put the correct folder structure on a zip file and put it on your .minecraft/texturepacks folder.
Is there any way to patch the texture packs themselves, rather than Minecraft, so i can use the new builtin texture pack loader?
the built in manager is bugged. i made one using an old texture pack just extracted it removed text files and compressed it as a zip (normal compression rate). when you go to the mods and textures, it crashes your game. its bugged. and so is this version.

Has anyone had any luck with custom water? I'm using the johnsmith pack, and I cant seem to get the custom water to work. If I HD patch without custom water checked, the old water works fine. If I check custom water, I get animated water but it isnt the custom texture, its just the normal static texture moving sideways. If I dont HD patch, I get the right texture, but no animation. Has anyone else had better results?

patcher is 1.1.8, client is 1.2.2 -.- it fails to work. and loading them manually, anything above 32 by 32 crashes the game. -.-

The built-in manager works fine for me, as long as the texture pack is 16x16 or 32x32. But 32x32 has that brick glitch.
both of the texture packs i used crash it. one is a 32 and other is 64. and patcher use to actually put the image into the jar or resize the exiting images if a pack wasn't selected. >.<
either way neither are working properly.

the custom_flowing and custom_still files must be placed in the minecraft.jar file with this version. Lets hope Xau can support those being in the pack in a future release.

patcher doesn't even put textures in the jar anymore. try running the patcher. afterwards open your jar and download one the images, it will still be default. -.-

I'm sure that you're correct, but what does this have to do with the custom water etc? I'm just suggesting that in order for the custom animations to work they DO have to be added to the minecraft.jar file manually and that it would be preferable if the patcher was modified to make them function from the pack.zip files instead. Perhaps I wasn't very clear though, The terminology is in flux.
One problem I found was that if you had been using the previous version that old copies of the minecraft.jar seemed to casue weirdness. Once I deleted all the minecraft.jar backups in my bin folder and tried everything from that start again it worked smoothly.
Alright I got the installer to install it, but now it's not a texture pack but is instead the new default. Had to reinstall the game to get it to work. How would I do this to make it a texture pack instead of the new default?

Other than that, 100% satisfaction. Great work Xau!
Works fine for me, everything checked.

Other than that one small detail I had no problems at all with this latest version. Thanks so much!
