Hmm, water animates now, but it looks like its using a 16x16 texture instead of the one for the pack, and its not even the original flowing water texture. It looks like it might be the static water texture moving sideways.
I am still getting an error even after downloading 1.8 when attempting to run the game.
It patches okay, but when I attempt to start the game I'm getting a GL Error;

I was able to install MrMMods Ambient occlusion a-okay. The game also runs perfectly fine before i run the HD texture fix. I'm selecting 32x32. I've tried it with multiple different texture packs.
I've also tried deleting my bin folder, starting over, etc... all to no avail. I was unable to find anything relating to this error other then having an outdated graphics card, however I can play the game fine before using the fix. I was also able to use the fix up until recently.
I'm currently on a macbook pro using OS X 10.6.4 on a GeForce 8600M GT. I have Java fully updated through Apple Update.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
in texture patcher hit the browse button beside texture pack, this will bring open a browser window, select the rar file or zip and then patch. it should automatically select the right size based on texture resolution.
Well I tried it multiple times to no avail, but it ended up working the way gmoff01 fixed it before 1.8, by just turning off custom water/fire. :biggrin.gif:
Can someone please help me quickly? I download and unzip the file in my DL folder. I'm on Mac OSX by the way. The MCpatcher opened an hour and a half ago, but like many others, I've been trying to fix the black screen. I see you released 1.8, but I can't figure out how to run it after I have downloaded it. Sorry for being such a noob.
Thanks Xau, all I use this patcher for is custom water and you fixed it. I did have to replace fr.class with the default, but that bug existed in the old patcher anyways.
I've been using the patcher for awhile now and I've never had any problems with it, until now. When I use the 1.1.8 patcher to patch my 1.2.2, it hangs on a black screen after the first splash screen comes up. I did what other people have been doing and I replace the fr.class with the old one, and when I go in, water is still not animated and I'm still getting fire on gold blocks. I have been able to use other patchers, though, like minimap and ambient occlusion. I tried this patcher off of both a fresh install and on top of other mods. I still just can't get it to work. btw, I'm running windows.

LATEST UPDATE:
1.1.8 - Updated for Minecraft 1.2.2, removed Better Grass. Should work on OSX again.

How do you make it patch rar files since I wanna be able to switch textures quick
