There are actually a variety of reasons why it didn't work. You're mixing slashes with backslashes, you saved the file with a special character in it("!") and you're trying to link the internet to a local file from your computer. Go to some place like: tinypic.com and upload the image there and put the direct link in the img codes.

Any news on why it would be freezing at 81% when trying to read the terrain.png from the Brown & Bloom pack? I saw someone else had the same problem as me.

If you're running it from the terminal with the workaround, there should be an error in the terminal when it freezes, which you should post.
If it's "out of memory" then just change -Xmx128m to -Xmx256m and keep increasing it till it works.

IDK. I had unrar'd it and changed some things, then rerar'd it and it didn't work. Ended up just copying original file, opening with winrar, replacing, and then using that. That worked fine.

As my patcher gets stuck at 81% when I try to put a custom art image in my personal texture compilation.
I'm running OSX 10.6.4 and the patcher is working just fine with singleplayer. But for some odd reason it won't allow me to join any multiplayer servers. So just reinstall Minecraft without the patcher and you'll be able to join MP :wink.gif:
Seems to be, I just installed a texture pack with it and it looks OK and runs fine. Still didn't copy the custom water & lava animation files though, had to copy those by hand again.

Don't want to hijack this, but since there's some Mac users struggling with the Ambient Occlusion and HD mods, here's a post I wrote covering 10.6.4, and I just noticed someone sniped me with a post about 10.5.8 as well (but I don't think it covers both mods).

You probably left his automatic backup from the last time in there, so then it's still using the old JAR.
This would be why I'm now requesting you give up the automatic backup stuff.
It's trivial to download a new JAR from the cloud if you need to restore, or to make the backup yourself if you're concerned. It's causing more trouble then it is worth at this point to automatically back it up.

I tried it earlier this morning and it works. I installed SimpleMap and AO first, then I used Xau's patcher. Worked fine for me.
