Xau Im using ANIMATED WATER/LAVA/FIRE.....what file do I edit to change the hue of the water? I want to make it a slightly more tropical looking blue instead of dark blue.
I dont want CUSTOM water b/c it doesnt animate like the default one does when its standing still.....I figure there has to be a way to edit the hue of the file its drawing that animation from.

It does if you make a custom_water_still.png. I'm kind of surprised no one has posted any yet.

I have explained how the default animations work like 500 times in this thread, including the top of the page you posted that on the first time, and I refuse to do it again. If you want to actually edit the code then the *class* that draws it is in the OP as well as in the log output every time you run the patcher.
Maybe I'm missing something Xau b/c I read that and only my moving water is animated not my static water and I have everything checked. I only get static water movement when I dont use custom water texture. I must be misreading something.
Hay Xau I'm hoping you know of a way to fix my problem I posted near the bottom of page 13? and could you PM me if you can or cant fix it? like a bat file or something?
sadly when I use your program and I press the "run minecraft" button it starts the regular way resulting in me getting the bad driver error
The "Run Minecraft" button is for troubleshooting. If you have some other way to run minecraft that works, use it.

Custom still water will not be animated unless you have a custom_water_still.png. You cannot change the color of the non-custom water because it is not based on any file or texture or anything that you can possibly influence in any way except for the compiled, obfuscated Java code that draws it.
Was able to integrate it into my program with little fuss. Although couldn't for the life of me get the GUI to load up, are some files missing? Can't remember how Swing works.
Nothing happens. I select the texture pack, patch it, all runs okay. I open it up- nothing. Default textures for everything. I'm on a Mac, and there's no texture in the folder in Applications, as per the instructions. This patcher just does nothing, despite running just fine. Is this too vague to answer?

Please post the texture pack. Do water/lava change? What if you disable all animations?
It just so happens that it is currently the only way i can play minecraft
Why?
The web-client isn't working for me and the down loadable application just gets a black screen. There are no errors and I constantly have my web browser crashing with java.
If your worried about me trying to pirate it or something, Don't worry I have Paid to get the game like everyone else, Which makes it doubly annoying since i spent $13 dollars and i can't play on my server with my skins or name. :sad.gif:
Thanks for tking the time to reply :smile.gif:
Hmm, tried the new patcher to try to apply my custom water animation, but the water is still static. What should be checked and where should the custom water animation image be(it's in the zip for my custom pack).
I was about to post that I had an error with this patcher.. but I noticed you recently updated! Tried it.. and it worked! Now my Modified Doku's texture pack works like a charm! Running water and all!

The files should be named custom_water_flowing.png and custom_water_still.png and should be in the top level of your pack. When I ran the patcher I unchecked animated water and checked custom water.

Hmm, I've tried a various amount of combinations and still no luck :sad.gif:
It should give you an error message when you try to load that zip as the texture pack. Did you use the Run Minecraft button to run the game?

If this patcher can run Minecraft, the launcher should be able to as well. I don't know what else to tell you.

There is a bug where the patcher only installs files in texture packs that are also in minecraft.jar, so you have to drop them in your minecraft.jar or minecraft.original.jar manually the first time.

Alright, I did that and still no luck. I double checked the patched minecraft.jar and the files are in there.

Yep. It just loads without the texture pack. And I changed the zip to a rar
