But, there is one small thing. The needle on compasses (whenever I use a larger texture) is very tiny. I haven't checked, but I'm assuming it's smaller depending on what size your textures are. It'd be nice if the program fixed that too :smile.gif:. If it can.
I believe it's supposed to work on items.png files too. Up to 32x anyway.
I have a feeling it will go higher, if only because flowers and sprouts are items and terrain pieces, and they appear at the 256x256 resolution in inventory and in hand.
I have some questions about installing this before I mess something up (I always do).
The "Original" should be the minecraft.jar in the \bin, right?
When I uncheck the backup (because I tried to replicate the screenshot shown in the original post), the "Output" went red, and the "Patch" button greyed out, does this mean I need to backup before I can patch?
I assume I should do a backup, should it be minecraft.original.jar in the \bin?
It took me awhile to realise it for some reason but the texture pack shown in the screenshot was the .zip, not the .jar in the \bin folder, does it matter where the .zip folder is? Does it matter that I already "installed" the texture pack through copying the files into the .jar?
Again I tried to replicate the screenshot, and tried having it at 128x128, upon selecting the correct file for the texture pack it switched to 32x32, should I keep it at this or would it be fine going up?
The screenshot only has the animated fire checked, would it be fine to have all of the options checked? Or only some of them?
I get this message when I selected the .zip texture file, sorry if a solution has already been posted. I am running the latest version of the patcher as well.

LATEST UPDATE:
1.1.6 - MrMessiah's Better Grass patch included (with permission). New custom water/lava animation options for artists: if there are files called custom_water_still.png, customer_water_flowing.png, custom_lava_still.png, or custom_lava_flowing.png, each square going downwards will be used as a frame in the animation. For example, a 32x128 image would have 4 frames. Slower default custom lava animation. More helpful error messages. Less scary interface. Easier backup process. More max memory when using .exe launcher. Open source!
I'm just a little bit curious, is this something that we can choose when we use the patcher?
I really liked when the lava was going faster, it looked so much more dangerous:)
Sure, you can choose to use the older version of the patcher~
I maaaay add more options around it in the future, but anyone that reeeeeally cares enough can make their own custom animations now.
What would be REALLY cool is a 3d distance setting. I cant actually use 3d because the distance between the supposed viewer's eyes is too far for me. but anyway, mmm.. gonna make my self some custom liquids. yay.

Man this mod just keeps getting better, really good work Xau!
I'm so glad you added the grass mod, I didn't hear about it until it was taken down, woo hoo!
After you inserted the texture pack in the Jar file lthen went in the Patch program did you set it to the resolution of the texture pack your using? Like 32x for 32x texture pack?
Well it was already set at 32 so yeah, that was right. I'm gonna try one more thing, I'm using a jar file that already had Doku's installed, so maybe that's somehow making it go back? I'll let it update, take that jar and put Doku in it (eww) then patch and see what happens. Here's hoping. Also glad to see the grass mod in here, I was disappointed when it disappeared.
PS Whether it works or not, thanks for trying to help ANARKY :biggrin.gif:
Edit: It seems my attempt to save myself some trouble actually made all the trouble. Thankfully starting with a fresh jar file fixed it and it seems okay now. *WHEW*

I really don't want to have it in my world...
Hope we see some custom water animation textures soon.. I might try to whip one up tonight if I can figure it out
Oh and on that note, i have 0 problems now, running 256x256 textures. Working on my pack atm.
