Error while loading the newest version of Mcpatcher. It can't find the classes for the compass so it brings up a window with the following info.
There was an error opening minecraft.jar. This may be because:
- The file has already been patched.
- There was an update that this patcher cannot handle.
- There is another, conflicting mod applied.
- The jar file is invalid or currupt.
I deleted my minecraft.jar, reinstalled it and haven't installed any mods to yet.
Force update minecraft, convert your maps over to the new format, quit, then try again. Fixed it for me.
When i open click test in mcpatcher I get a menu with a "quit game" button next to options. when i start by clicking on the app i get the older main menu. anyone know why this is?

Thank you for quickly updating this for 1.3! I was concerned at first that I would be stuck with the default textures for a while but you and Misa acted quickly and my game is looking as good as ever! Thanks for your effort!

You sure you have the latest Mc Patcher? Because that message appears when using the old one with a 1.3 MC.

I have tried both of the fixes suggested at the front page, Deleting options txt, and switching to the default texture. Neither have worked.
I am attempting to use a 32x32 LoZOOT texture pack The texture pack box is checked, and the tile size says 32x32. The locations for Original and Output are both at their intended locations. Checked boxes are Animated Water, Animated Lava, Animated Fire, Custom Water, Custom Lava, Hi-Res Font. Custom Portals is not checked.
Could anyone give me some assistance please?

Edit Edit: If I uncheck the texture pack box and just run it in 32x32 textures, it works fine. However the moment I attempt to load the texture pack it fails and gives me the error. Is this an issue with the texture pack then?
How can I get custom water / lava textures working? I have been searching but haven't seen where im supposed to place my custom water and lava textures, from a pack like john smiths. I have the check boxes clicked when I apply the patch but all I'm seeing in game is the default water, looks kinda crappy up against higher res textures.

HD fonts appear to be conflicting with Modloader. Also, if the pack in question has HD fonts, it seems to want to do HD fonts no matter what, even when I turn the flag off.
I had this working prior to the 1.3_01 update, but post update when trying to apply the patch (using Gerudoku) the program jams up at exactly 24% each time. Tried removing everything and reinstalling Minecraft but to no avail. Running OSX.
^^^^^^^ I'm having the same issue as above.. I get an error message that says my minecraft.jar file has already been moded and I should try deleting the bin file and re-download the "original" minecraft.jar file. Except I think it's because of the update that it's not continuing with the .jar file now.. I 've done it 100 times before the update. Solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This Problem was happening before patch, but whenever i open minecraft after patching using the hd texture fix, the textures in game wouldnt change, i followed all instructions but still no luck, hope some1 can help, if they do for them
I started entirely from scratch; wiped everything Minecraft related, redownloaded the texture fix, the texture pack, downloaded and installed, set texture pack to default, created a world, loaded it, exited. Ran the patcher, chose the texture, clicked patch, this time it jammed up at 2% and gave me the spinning wheel of death. The last thing in the log (which sadly I could not copy due to the freeze) was Version: 1.3_01.
Force update minecraft, convert your maps over to the new format, quit, then try again. Fixed it for me.
