is there anyway to get something like this that makes it where its just added to the list and i can still change it? cause i had other texture packs i liked
Well, it is not the official way to patch, but it is the way I do it.
1. Put the zip of the HD texture in the list.
2. click it (if it is 64x or higher, your minecraft will freeze, this is normal)
3. close out of Minecraft
4. Patch your minecraft
5. re-open minecraft, and voilà it works!
6. To go back to a 16x texture pack, select it in the list, close Minecraft, patch to 16x, re-open!
is there any way to get this to work with the new texturepack folder that notch added? ive tried but it either says it wont work or it overwrites my default texture.
I'm not sure why but the patch won't open for me, im on windows 7 64bit and i've tryed to run as admin, ran normally, put the patch in the bin folder and it still won't open, it comes up as a process, but doesn't load the actuall file, any help guys?
Try running it from the Command Prompt: java -Xmx512m -jar mcpatcher-1.1.10_01.exe
It still won't work for me it says unable to access jarfile mcpatcher-1.1.10_01.exe
also got this:

Every moment, a thousand worlds are born; every moment a thousand worlds die. For what is a dream but a world, at once brief and eternal, alien and familiar to the mind?
Hey guys, so is there someone(!) who got it working on a Mac? If so, could you please send me your folder from /application support/minecraft/.
I tried it about twohundred times now and it keeps crashing i hope there is a way to fix that. and if, please tell me :sad.gif:
i got it working on a mac just fine. what exactly is your problem, step by step?
I am using this patcher that it recommends to use. I followed every step exactly to fix the flames on gold blocks I set the texture to 32x32 I selected the texture patch, everything else is checked that is supposed to be checked - and no good. They are still there. The patching process goes off without a hitch with this text pack selected and nothing changes at all in game.
What is the problem here.

#### Success! ...probably ####
[/code]
did you make sure you have the john Smith pack selected under the Mods & Texture Packs menu on the main screen? There is a tutorial here (actually made just for john smith, works with everything!)
This is the output upon launch. It fails to patch the latest.

Never mind, didn't realize that the patcher was making a new minecraft.jar on my desktop where I had it saved instead of my .minecraft/bin folder.

I think this is the first time I've actually seen someone correct themselves by reading the directions. You wouldn't believe how many idiots repeatedly post their problems without trying to figure it out themselves. Good job bro. Not being sarcastic.
Ok so im getting this error (its at the bottom) when i click Run minecraft after i try to patch with the Rezcraft texture pack.
If anyone can be of assistance that would be great
Ever since I did this patch minecraft runs so slow it is impossible to do things because you just kinda lag 5 meters at a time. Also if i try to make the screen full it crashes every time
first time posting I dont know if the picture will work so here is what the error says when it crashes:
"Java(TM) Platform SE Binary has stopped working
Windows is checking for a solution to the problem"
I feel as if it shouldnt be patcher, but it happened right after I patched
I have deleted bin and recourses multiple times andit hasn't changed anything
Steps i went through:
I downloaded the patcher
set texture to default
ran the patcher (i had not selected the texture pack I wanted)
I realized what I did and went back and selected the pack and ran the patcher again
It seemed to work then this started happening as soon as i opened a world
Another Mac user here, seeing exactly this issue with Minecraft Beta 1.1_02. Freezes at 23% while replacing bc.class.
Same thing. I ended up patching through a VMWare Windows install, but it wasn't exactly ideal. :smile.gif:
But yeah, if you have a Windows available, through Parallels, Bootcamp or VMWare, do the patch on a minecraft install there and then move the minecraft.jar to your Mac install location.
Java seems to not want to open the .jar file says it failed to open Main-Class attribute from and then the while file name. I tried to use the jarfix, and I even installed the latest java version. Any idea on how I can get this to work?

What do you suggest for Ubuntu users?
