The BiomeTerrain mod is useful for generating water worlds similar to that of Legends, and the value of the arrow mod is that explosive arrows are not unlike buster shots. No annoying plasma burst left sticking out of a wall somewhere; your shots simply explode on contact. (That being said, shooting in close proximity to oneself is not advised.)
I'm doing a standard 16x pack and I'm also having a problem with only the top texture being recognized for iron and gold blocks so this isn't just an HD texture issue. I haven't checked if it still does this using the default setting, so maybe it's just with custom packs in general. I'm assuming that the top is supposed to be the top, the mid is suppose to be the sides, and the bottom is suppose to be the bottom, right?
EDIT: Default pack does the same thing for me.
Notch changed the iron, gold, and diamond blocks to use the same texture on all sides in the Halloween update. Feels bad, man.
Shameless bumping while I attempt to fend off the last month of the college semester. Still looking for more ideas from the rest of the fanbase out there!
Well my problem after going through it all is that all the doors seem solid. How am I supposed to know if a is on the other side? :ohmy.gif:
The link of the first post to triggers alt seems dead. It said somthing about no file.
EDIT: I'm getting the loop with the main download. HELP!

No one using a creeper avatar has ever posted anything worth reading.
Fact.
This is definitely good stuff! I really want to combine this with an all-subterranean world gen. Going for something like "Blame!" by Tsutomu Nihei, if anyone's read that. Survival in a completely inorganic environment. The robotic baddies look absolutely great.
Heh. Off-topic, but Sonic Robo Blast 2 is awesome. :biggrin.gif: I've had a lot of fun playing that, and its various maps/mods people have put out over the years. If only a portable version existed.... It's nice to see you're a fan of great games. :wink.gif: Mouser X over and out.
Most people who use video game characters for their names are just too lazy to come up with one. You, Trigger, have earned yours.
EDIT: you said you were looking for input from the community, so I have three things I've observed. Firstly I liked it when smashing rocks didn't make them seem like they had been processed, that is, when smooth was technological and cobble was rocks. Second: I like Zenny ore, I had just about memorized the colors.
Third, not a complaint, but when I have the pointer pointing at blocks some blocks make it be yellow, others blue. Was this intentional, and if not, what was the intended color?

1. There'll be two versions of the terrain, don't sweat it. I kept the old Photoshop files specifically for that purpose.
2. Refractors are and always will remain the ores and processed minerals. If you look closely at the new versions, they're just sticking out of the rocks. The hole-in-the-wall versions will be kept in the alternate terrain.png, the one that has smooth stone as the ruins wall, although I'll probably tweak them some more.
3. You're just seeing color inversion; nothing "intentional", it's just how the graphics work in Minecraft. The normal cursor inverts to black sometimes, too, depending on what it's pointed at.
Trigger, is the monster spawner supposed to have transparencies? The one on your does not seem to have transparencies.
Strange; it should, yes. Must have accidentally overlapped those textures when I spliced three different versions together for the v0.5 release. I'll fix that asap.
I've been keeping an eye on this thread (I actually made my account so I could comment here), and boy I've gotta say I love the texture mod. I'm using what you guys currently have out, and it's awesome thus far :smile.gif:
Keep up the good work everyone! And I'm eagerly awaiting further updates :biggrin.gif:
I appreciate the hard work going on for this texture pack, however I have one question. In an attempt to make a Legends texture pack to my interests, it appears that my ice and water no longer have transparent tendencies. Is this because I've gone cutting and pasting them and as a result, they've lost their transparency? I don't recall them ever being solid before. While it's not a major concern, it would be nice to see through the ice and water surface again.

OK wild, you sold me with that one. XD

And since I haven't mentioned all of this before:
Bucyruss's BiomeTerrain Mod
303's Arrow Mods

and the creeper (as a shetuken):
I also increased the resolution on the ghast:
I made the top of the diamond block look like the floor of the water dungeon:
And I changed ham to the life thingies from legends (and included MonsieurD's high res items pack):

Yeah, I removed the file because it's been updated. You can find the new pre-release pack at my Mediafire, www.mediafire.com/nintendomastergc.

So I tried it out and posted some screen shots.
(lol cobble stone)
tl;dr
You want this
The new textures are in the v0.5 pack available in my Mediafire listing.
