I'm waiting for this pack to be fully completed as well. Also are you gonna have armor/items redone? If so, sweet.
Armor already is redone (aside from chainmail), and I do believe Wild intends to change items too. There's an unofficial edit on the page before this which has reaverbot eye redstone dust, and refractors in place of two other items, on top of the iron shovel and pick edits Wild originally did.
@DaReeper Thanks man, that should help a bunch. I might go ahead and figure out the appropriate colors to use for the foliage/grass gradients.
Ah and, if you don't mind my asking, do you know which biome Notch has old maps defaulting too? I'll try to use the original hue of the foliage for that biome once I know what it is.
Edit: Alright, I've thrown together some biome colors for this pack's grass and foliage. With the assumption that forest is the biome which old maps default to, I've given forests this pack's original hue for grass and leaves. The rest of the colors were chosen carefully to represent a modified grass or leaves color in the respective biome. I first used the parceled images to pick out and fill colors for each biome, then to make it look like the original biome gradients, blurred it a bit. I haven't tried them yet, so hopefully they look okay! xD
I've been working on the terrain.png a little bit. I replaced the hell block, sand, obsidian, the ladder, the mob spawner, redstone dust, and I am still working on the record player (making the music box) and the light block not suck. I also changed the ores into the holes in the wall from MML.
Hey, I have some work of mine for Megaman Battle Network that you might be able to modify.
My skin: http://minecraft.net/skin/skin.jsp?user=Crimsonbld
My First Buster and Sword Attempt (This is not updated for the Halloween Update, seeing as I decided to give up on it before the update came out):
And the Arrows themselves (I have no idea what the purple textured arrow is for, but it shows up as the buster round in game):
This is all for a Megaman Battle Network Texture Pack that I stopped working on a few weeks ago. You can use all this, and change it to your heart's content. Hopefully this helps!
Right.. ya know that won't work I don't know if it just me but it kinda annoying as heck having NO idea what I'm mining case it all looks the same.
I agree with this guy here
What about making the mineral little refractors in the rock?
I like the refractor idea, I think it gives a more megaman legends feel to it. But thats just my opinion.
EDIT: Tired of waiting for this to be fully released. >:|
Anything I can do to help? Or speed development up? Also this thread seems very unorganised... does OP still update?
one thing that bothers me about the biome update, which i adore the idea of, but half the time it just looks silly and ruins it with the grass overgrowth on the side of dirt blocks :sad.gif: i wish there was a way to fix it.
Love the idea of refractors in use and reaverbot eyes perfectly replaces the redstone as redstone seemed like the 'magic' material. One thing missing is compared to the moon, the sun looks very out of place, size not so much as look, a higher def sun would be awesome. And bookcases seem a little out of place, maybe replace with a console looking texture? and there's the pumpkin, that's begging for a replacin' but I'm drawing a blank with the servbot head being gold helm lol though it would have looked like buried servbots that u can decapitate and replace brains with candles haha although they were unbelievably fun to kick around...
also noticed in mobs there is a pigman texture, wonder how that will be implemented possibly unzombified pigmen living outside the nether :ohmy.gif: then again pigmen as a replacement for a neutral goblin-type race would be very interesting.
Ah, strange... The sample image I used must not have the same bounds as the ones notch uses (the black is overlapping some of the area which should be colored.) I'll post image fixes in a moment. Other than that area, how did other biomes look while using it?
They seemed to fit pretty good, but couldn't really tell being a in a snowy climate most the time then ran into the black biome part. I took out the texture pack for now, didn't like how white the snow/ice was, Is anyone working on that? I may try to texture it like mml2's snowy town if no one else has any plans of changing it. (first time attempting to actually texture something but I wouldn't let it look too crappy...)

Go ahead and have a try at it =P no one is working on it as far as I know. It definitely does need modification though, pure white is disorienting haha.
Yeah lol, I found some pictures of that snow town on megaman legends 2, I think I can do it but it will take some time. (first I need to start >_>) Sometime when I'm bored/free I'll have at it. :tongue.gif:
This is my current WIP. I changed the Iron, Gold, and Diamond blocks to make them a bit more distinguishable, as well as added some symbols from The Misadventures of Tron Bonne. I'm also redoing the jack-o-lanterns to give them a Megaman Legends face. Hooray, I guess.
Heh, I've noticed the past two pages have basically morphed into people posting their personal edits of the terrain.jpg, a biomes edit, a modified item.png... at this rate we're going to have four MML Community-Packs and a single Blockman Legends pack.
Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm using a modified terrain set with parts from the past two pages. If anything good has come out of this, it would have to be my continued learning of the ways of GIMP.

If you think any of the above post sounded angry, go back and read it in your head as if it's being spoken by Jeff Goldblum explaining his plan to defeat the aliens in Independence Day.
My school gave me CS5 master suite. Photoshop CS5 is great because if you zoom in pretty close, it separates the pixels for you for easier pixel editing.

Guess you don't wish to contribute to the madness by posting your own, eh? =P Ah well, yeah I'd prefer to see an official update from Wild, even though he said he encourages such creativity.
And contribute to the madness I shall. I've replaced the Snow and Ladder textures. The ladder is the one from the Flutter in MML2. The snow is from the areas in Calinca. I also updated the Ice to match to color of the snow.
I'm happy with how the snow turned out but I think that ladder could still use some work, specifically the sides. The rungs came out perfectly though.

Nice! Those are some I'll probably use. I'm glad you chose a ladder you could see behind, and encourage work on the sides. I assume the ladder that was there before was from the Doku pack? The snow looks good from what I can tell =P.

MISS TROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!
now i feel like playing The Misadventures of Tron Bonne
your biome color thing you gave us in a above post failed when I got to this area. :/
On a side note, Snow/ice looks too white and dull... Needs alittle something too it I think, anything I can do to help?
