no offence to you and this amazing mod but i didnt like the textures you chhose for smooth and cobble so i swapped them and edited the resource noces to have the specs on them but on the smooth texture and not cobble, link:

That is some incredible news. I downloaded the pack yesterday and looked through some of the textures and was wondering why the Leather, Iron and Diamond Armors were all the same (I love the gold Armor). Are you planning on tinting them to add a visual difference(I realize Megaman is the blue bomber but it would be nice to have some visual clues as to what armor you're wearing. Something simple like a red/brown tint for Leather, a white/gray tint for Iron and leave it as is for Diamond) If not I suppose I'll do it my self eventually.

I forget which, but one of the mobs (zombie or skeleton) has Sharukurusu-ish forearms (splits into 4 parts). An enemy that rushes at you with great strength when it sees you, like that, would be quite welcome in Minecraft methinks. The reaverbots will be made the most believable for me personally when their sounds are replaced =P.
@SBKT: Srsly, is there anything I can do to help speed up the process of getting this sound pack together? As I (think) have said, I have extensive experience editing and otherwise dealing with audio files. To get started I'd just need to know what method you're using to get most of your sounds right now, any tools for conversion, ripping or otherwise (I've got .ogg covered), and which sounds in Minecraft you plan to replace with which sounds from MML.
I have already sent these to SBKT. So we might want to wait to hear from him.

Wow. Talk about a huge tribute. I may not have anything to do with the patch (so far, at least), but thanks a TON!! No doubt this will save SBKT some work, assuming he hadn't done too much already. That pretty much just leaves the music and record music to be replaced, after all the SFX are sorted and converted. Heck, if he hadn't said he was on it already, I'd start assigning and converting SFX myself.
Personally, I've been looking for something like this for ages. Or rather, I was looking for something like it ages ago, and gave up with no luck. Thanks again Joel =P.
I though the Nether might work really well with a 'destroyed Elysium' feel, with rogue reaverbots for Ghasts and possibly repair reaverbots for the pigmen or just made to looks like inhabitants, with brown skin and green hair. Dunno what else would fit with the Nether :/ but if its taken into consideration cant wait to see texture :smile.gif:
also Sulphur Bottom music HAS to be one of the records :3
Personally I thought Saul Kada Ruins would fit the Nether best; it's the hottest ruin in the series and has its fair share of lava. Zombie Pigmen should be converted to Poh, the Reaverbot that does not attack until fired upon, and Ghasts ought to be Engurbots, the floating Reaverbots that deposit Fire Horokko in the halls of Elysium's Defense Zone.

Well hey, I'm working, I'm working. Just not too fast because I keep wandering over to the music (of which there are actually a lot of nifty additions) and trying to figure out... "How the hell am I going to do that?"
... I have a bad habit of getting side-tracked by **** I can't actually figure out.
Also, as far as MML3 is concerned, either we'll see it and it's a horribly ruined piece of ****, or it's cancelled. The reason? Inafune, father of Megaman, he went and split from Capcom. This pretty much says something is horribly wrong about the whole thing.
I'm kind of disappointed.
Also, when I was ripping the sound effects myself, I was using the Playstation version and not having too much luck. Capcom is a bunch of idiots and format their XA files differently from everyone else for who knows what reason. I end up having to record the things, which stopped being a possibility when my desktop crapped itself. Now that I'm on a lappy and no longer hindered by being unable to get the sound effects, I can continue working.

Yeah, announced at the end of September. It *will* be finished, even without the presence of Inafune. I actually have some strong confidence that it can still turn out to be a good game. As a friend of mine pointed out, Inafune seemed to have lost his "Mega Man touch" since a few years before he quit. The project manager/producer of Legends 3 is the same guy behind 1 and 2, so I have no doubts that he can keep the legends vibe and feeling in the game. And all of the previous Legends staff, many of which are returning for this game, were obviously pretty passionate about the game and had a lot of things they wanted to try but couldn't at the time. I really think it still has a fighting chance, even without its father. After all, it's about time Mega Man grew up and became independent of its parent eh? =P
I have no fears for Legends 3, with or without Inafune. Although the father of Mega Man will be sorely missed by the fanbase, the head producer on the Legends 3 project is (as Saber Mage has already pointed out) the same man who was responsible for Legends 1 and Legends 2, and as evidenced by the Heroine Design Contest, the design team is an all-star cast of Mega Man artists and developers. With any luck, Legends 3 will be such a hit that we'll finally get a MegaMan Legends Collection.

"Fan edit" ought to be the "official" version -- the whole point is to make spelunking look like a trip through the ruins, right?
Swords should be various colors of the Blade Arm, preferably the one from Legends 1 thanks to its sword-like hilt. The bow would obviously be a buster; HOWEVER, Volnutt/Trigger is a lefty with his buster. A swap to a left-handed grip while wielding the bow would be an excellent change.
Other items have already been mentioned to some extent but I'll list my own suggestions:
Sword = Blade Arm
Bow = Mega Buster
Arrows = Buster Shots (the round, oblong shots fired from Trigger's buster represented as a flat sprite)
Pickaxe = Drill Arm
Shovel = Grand Grenade (used to blow up dirt walls in Legends 1)
Axe = Blade Arm (different variety, perhaps the Legends 2 Blade Arm)
Hoe = Spreader (players of Legends 2 will remember it was made using old farming equipment, the Sower)
Fishing Rod = Vacuum Arm (let's suck in some fish)
Flint and Steel = Hyper Shell (what better to set things on fire with?)
Bucket = Canteen
Food = Energy Pellets (various sizes, bigger = more health value)
Also, Redstone MUST be altered to the Reaverbot Eye, perhaps three to a block of Redstone Ore. We simply cannot have Legends without the Reaverbot Eye.
