I only have two complaints. The first one being the tools and the second one being the sand. But hey, those are just my opinions. Other than that this is a really awesome texture pack! Might even replace my current one
Love this pack, apart from a few small things.
1 - Melon and Pumpkin seeds have no texture when you first plant them, not until they hit their second stage of growth.
2 - All the stone textures... Stone looks nice at a distance, but quite bad up close (its too cobbley for normal stone). The cobble texture suits stone bricks, Stone Brick texture suits cobble (even the normal stone texture suits cobble, but I would prefer that texture for stone removed completely as I personally rather dislike it up close). Stone texture needs a new one that looks more smooth like the normal stone should. And bedrock looks kind of out of place with the other stone textures... The grey splotches look very bland and basic as compared to the textured cobble.
3 - Personally not a fan of the lava.. looks.. odd... like too much of a pale colour and too overrun by the white kind of colour.
Im not trying to criticise your work, I love it. That stuff is just my personal opinion Keep up the great work!!

Being criticized is the only way for an artist to improve, at least as long as it's constructive(aides the person in knowing the flaws instead of just telling them it's ugly, for example). I have no problem with it, and in fact many changes done to the pack have been because of input from people like you.
Most of these things are being addressed in my newer version of the pack. However I have been very busy and to top it off apparently so has Jeb.
Thanks for the compliments about the sig I spent a lot of time working on that so it makes me glad to hear!
Someone brought to attention that my pack was featured on Machinima Realm, which is awesome
What's not awesome is the sheer amount of ignorant comments claiming that I have stolen everything from other packs. It really is disheartening, and I wish people would take a few seconds out of their life to read something as simple as the credits.txt of the very pack they're claiming I stole from.
However seeing my pack reviewed(which is not the first time! I tend to try to watch all videos you guys have made about my pack ) also really wishes I had put more time into finishing it up. Was sad seeing how many things were passed over since they weren't done. Really tempts me to try to get the 2.0 version finished, but now there are even more things being added and I need to play catch-up again.
I feel you, bro. I've had that happen to me before too, although probably not to the extent you're experiencing because I've never given any 'big' packs permission to use my stuff. Just hang in there, we know the truth.
Man, just make a list of everything that is currently in the game (1.3.2) and finish those textures before moving onto future content, I for one would love to see this pack finished up!!

Hello again!
Don't know if you remember me, I was a few pages back, talking about my effort on creating a CTM map that was meant to feature your texture pack. Sadly, that project has fallen through (at least temporarily). The 1.3 update totally threw me for a loop in my progress, and I never really got back on it.
Just wanted to let you know that I still absolutely love your texture pack. I hope you don't get too disheartened by negative commenters. I look forward to your next update, or version 2, or whatever you end up doing!
Also, just a quick question: do you do mod support, or allow others to create texture support for their mod that matches your pack?

Glad to hear it! I do not currently to mod support. The problem is that different people like different mods and I most definitely can not support them all. Also mods come and go. The only mod I attempted to support was Aether, and before I even finished the hype died down and everyone forgot about it. I've played Tekkit with friends and got really into that, so of course I itched to support it but the amount of graphics is just downright massive, impossible to really attempt.
However, if others wish to try to support it that is more than welcome. However I also do not really know much about how you'd go about supporting mods(as far as installing the additional graphics) so you'd also have to append some instructions to it. If everything works out(it's not buggy/incomplete and isn't downright horrible) I'd add it to the original post.
As for news on the pack itself not much to say sadly. Still very busy and I haven't even touched the new stuff added by Jeb. I think my next step will be to just abandon the old and just release the new version and eventually when I get the chance get the customizer up and running. Until then I can just hope to keep it updated.
I have made several armour sets for SimpleOres. Although they are primarily meant for my own use, I thought that you might have use of them, since the item icons and the armour sets themselves somewhat resemble your own. Would you like to view a few samples?
I've been spending all day today trying to catch up on stuff, so I thought I'd fill you guys in! Most of the work now is just adding all the various new things to my already existing pack. It's a ton of work but I'm slowly getting there. Jeb, do me a favor and make GUI's modular!!! > Apart from adding the new items and such I've done minor edits to things like the zombies, flattening their skins(I thought it made their heads look jokingly large) which will also fix the new head items(else it'd just be a block of muscles).
If anyone is curious, I've patched up and finished all the new item icons over the day. However, the new update will not be posted here. When I'm finally finished I'm going to go ahead and retire this thread, and move my efforts over to DustyCraft v.2. This means along with all the new items and blocks you'll also be getting a slew of upgraded graphics over the old ones(like the furnace and work bench). Thank you for your patience!
Finally got around and updated all the gui interfaces. I've also added almost all of the new items and blocks. I haven't gotten around to growing carrots, and apparently chainmail is obtainable in-game so that's a bit of a huge setback that may be a bit time consuming...
However, there are also just a few more tweaks and new graphics I'd like to complete before the new big update. I'd like to update some of the worst of the old, like the chest and flowers and odds and ends like that. The new DustyCraft v2 still won't be 100% complete, but I hope to get the overall aesthetic much more complete and unified and weed out as many old graphics as possible.
I hope to have it all done in the coming week or two, maybe with a few more mob skin updates as well.
Haha, I love the way you managed to get the lightning strike there.
One of those one in a million moments.
Now you just need to use MC Patcher to override the rain splash colour.
The inspiration for the lightning strike was the fact that before I took that snapshot, lightning struck the very top of the pumpkin(or glass in this case). However I wasn't prepared to take a snapshot, and definitely wasn't looking to take one with lightning in it, so I missed it. I just waited around for another strike, heh.
Water splashes are apparently being edited by MCPatcher(or Optifine in my case), but I guess I'll have to tweak the colors. I really don't like messing with the colormaps though, it's a time-consuming and boring process tweaking all the various values and color maps.

Curse PremiumWell this is actually default(vanilla):
The rain actually looks decent there, so it looks like I messed up the watercolorX file or something. I'll have to look into it.
Also, snow
