Amazing armour! :biggrin.gif:
I should probably start mine soon... sorta disheartening to see how awesome yours looks though. I know mine won't look that great but I'll try my hardest anyway. Practice makes perfect after all! (and it will help with finishing off the last few mobs)
I've noticed something while trying to rebuild some pixel art in Minecraft: the wool colors are not quite good, don't work well together and don't fit the names. Yellow looks way too greenish, there's not much difference between yellow and orange, lime doesn't look like lime, more like light green; and so on. Dusty, do you plan on revisiting the colors on the wool again?
I will look back into it. I'm colorblind so tackling such things can be a little troublesome. Though some choices were intentional. I don't find lime a very appealing color, so the saturation values aren't going to be off the charts like the default colors.
You never told me. If you need any help with the colors, just say it.
It shouldn't be a problem I will just have to pay closer attention to the color values when I fix them to make sure they're not slightly in the greens.
It doesn't match the items though, does it? The items don't have any arms or gauntlets.
Looks pretty damn awesome though. The chainmail part might look better if it was a grayer or whiter color you know? It sort of blends too much with the rest of the armor me thinks.
Either way, keep that **** up man. The new GUI looks great too btw.

Pretty much due to limitations. There's not enough room in the icon space to draw gauntlets or arms, so they have to be excluded. The skin texture is also limited in what you can portray due to the layout so you have to change things up a little. Following the exact design of the icons ended up looking pretty bad(you can see it in one of my previous posts) so I improvised a little.
I'll see about darkening the chainmail though :smile.gif:

I actually meant more like lighting it up. Like make it white instead of blue so it looks different than the blue iron.
I think darkening it up might work too though. It might give it more depth. I dunno, do whatever you think looks good :biggrin.gif:

Well I'll play with it and see about what works best.
I think for the samurai armor you should make the little skirt thing like in the fan made version
Either way, they're look great. Think you'll do a custom char too :biggrin.gif:?
Hmm... I guess I didn't reference my own icon, heh! Will revisit and fix that up, as well as the chainmail on the iron armor and other various minor things I have noticed.
Custom character is a possibility, and possibly not all that much work. Zombie outfit is based off of Steve, so I guess I can alter that and fix it up clean and then just do the head. Didn't think people cared enough though... because how many people use default skin? lol

Also, iron armor skins are finally done!

Curse PremiumOkay... I lied! I actually finished all the armors this weekend.
Get the download here:

Now, that doesn't mean they're 100% complete. I still need to revisit and fix some things up. But they're good enough to release, in my opinion.
Enjoy!

Curse PremiumAh, so you did the samurai skin? My thanks for keeping people held over until I finally got to the skins!
Ya, this was my first time doing armor skins and it wasn't an enjoyable experience.
Either way, they're look great. Think you'll do a custom char too :biggrin.gif:?

This is definitely my favorite texture pack and it'd be nice to see your version of the aether.
