Considering a new natural stone texture. I know the current one gets a lot of complaints(though I'll be honest I love it, so replacing it as the default one will take a lot of convincing) so I'm always trying to make something liked by the majorities.
Either way there is a high likelihood this will make it into the alternatives.

Awesome textures! Love the art! Really like the style. Reminds me a little of Linecraft. Only thing im not too fond of is the grass and gravel texture. Doesnt seem to quite fit the visual style of the rest of the texture pack. (imo)
Also i would be great with custom biome colors and maybe add more red to the dirt. (only my opinions of course)
Hey Dusty, I wanted to pm you but it seems your inbox is full, so I hope its ok I post the message here, instead.
I'm currently in the process of trying to "Unite" As many rpg texture artists as possible to help each other make their own texture packs great by simply sharing textures, idea's, or even raw concepts with each other.
if you're interested I'll post your texture pack in my thread to help promote it and you'll beable to freely share textures with others to help make your own pack even better. What do you think?
Alright!
I noticed Dusty Houri Texture pack a long time ago, and wanted it so much, but that was back in the day of how the heck do you make anything bigger than 16x16 work...
Partner BlackGoat learnt the arcane mysteries of HD patcher a while back, but I had forgotten the name of the pack!
Will download, now the process is a little easier.
Thank you for the handy how to patch guide too, every bit of info helps!
The early release for texture pack makers didn't make much sense to me so I waited for the update. I haven't yet played with pistons yet though, so once I do I'll have a better idea of how to remake the graphics for it.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I gleaned what I needed from the videos released of them.
Another note for 1.7 that a lot of people are missing, the sides of cakes and beds are now aligned to the bottom. Take a look at the default terrain.png to see.

I watched the videos, but I don't recall the textures being what were in the texture pack releases... anyways I like to actually mess around and be able to test my textures before I release them.
Thanks for the heads up about the beds and such, probably would have missed it.
Alright, had to rush and get this out before I head to bed, but it should be fine and compatible with the new update.
What's new?
> Piston graphics
> New hellstone/netherrack tile graphics(I finally got to do what I originally envisioned)
> Filler shears
> Fixed bed/cake graphics.
I didn't have time to get the shears done, but I will try to get it done tomorrow. I also don't have enough time to test them out, so I'm not sure what they look like in play. I wanted to go with a sort of mystical feel to something as mechanical as the pistons... I was thinking of doing some overlay glowing redstone paths, but eventually ended up with ornate stone carvings. I don't want this to be some sort of trend in my graphics, so the pistons may end up getting changed but it will do for now. Let me know if there are any problems.

Curse PremiumThat is the patcher, not my pack. Whenever Minecraft updates mods are lost, and you have to wait for them to be updated and install them again.

Also, future may have new glowstone, pine leaves, and new HUD interfaces more like the GUI interface(buttons).
