Okay, updated the main post with a slew of newer screenshots and images. hopefully this will help the pack out more then having those old, outdated screenshots up :tongue.gif:
Is it possible to make Iron Ore a little bit more noticeable? Maybe add a bit more white/grey vein stuff in it?
It was originally gray but that made it hard to tell the difference between iron and diamond. I don't have any problem seeing iron at all, maybe your monitor isn't adjusted correctly?
Awesome pack nonetheless. Even if smooth stone is a bit rocky. :smile.gif:
Eh, I like the idea of rocky rocks :tongue.gif: The idea of having stone nice and smooth baffles my mind, and in fact I can't even imagine a texture that could work for smooth stone.
However, eventually I will start making alternatives for blocks that get a lot of criticism so people can swap different textures in place. Please more people at once. In fact, my next update will probably be of an alternative stone block. Maybe I'll take a stab at it tonight.
I am taking criticisms seriously :smile.gif: Many of the tiles being refined and replaced now are from earlier criticisms about the textures. Just like iron was eventually made to be a brownish tone since gray was hard to tell apart from diamond.
Yes, his "smooth stone" is a different concept from the original.
What I love about it is not just that it makes sense for natural rock formations to be rough like this, but how great the ores look embedded in among the chunks of stone. These are some of my favorite ores in any pack.
I've been following this since the start and i must say you have done an excellent job. This is by far my favorite texture pack. What are your plans for lava and fire?

I have attempted lava a few times, nothing that I've been happy with yet. As for fire I will probably just throw in a surrogate static image just so it doesn't look so horrible unpatched, but as far as I know the HD patcher doesn't support custom animated fire, and honestly I feel the default fire is quite nice since it's generated procedurally.
Alright, lately what I've mostly been focusing on are improvements of the existing content and providing alternatives for the more controversial blocks(like the "rocky rock").
Right now I'm focusing on a new stone texture as well as a more cobbly cobblestone, instead of a brick format. I'm also interested in remaking the wooden door and sandstone.
This does not mean that the pack is going to get these updates. These updates will just be shoved in a separate file for anyone interested in swapping out, at least until I get something on my site to ease customization.
Sorry for the pressure to make alternate tiles for your pack.
I think I'm mostly pleased in that 'stone' now looks cleaner than 'cobblestone' in this tweak.
Unfortunately this means losing the naturally exposed ores to something more plain. Which is a flaw in most packs that can't be avoided. You can't please everyone or every scenario, its a fact of life. I commend you for your efforts and maintaining the quality and maintenance of this texture pack :tongue.gif:

I've been hunting for a new texture pack that fit my tastes since minecraft went beta, and this is marvelous. (Most are far too realistic or busy for my tastes.) Great job!

Curse Premium:biggrin.gif: Thanks a lot! It looks great, it's a pity I didn't throw in some placeholder fire for those who haven't patched the client!

Curse PremiumYa, nether is completely broken if it's not patched :sad.gif: Otherwise it's not that bad playing unpatched, but you lose out on animated water.
For some reason I screwed up on patching, despite ing it right before xD

EDIT: downloaded patcher, bricks fine now. haha! Really nice Texture pack!
