I actually wanted to get all the ton of new icons done but I haven't decided what to do with them yet. I may put them all in a ink bottle of sorts, and try to not have unique items for most of them(like Rose Red... petals?) because I find that most of them don't really resemble anything. The only ones I'd probably keep as items were bone meal and the Lapus stone and ink sac of course. I might also revisit some of the older, ugly tiles like the furnace.
Also, could this be moved to the new Texture Pack section please?
Sorry for the mostly trivial update. I AM working on this(I am playing Minecraft A LOT more again), but I am having a hard time. It's not that I haven't gotten anything done, but it's that I haven't gotten anything done that I'm happy with. So most of my time spent on the texture pack is actually just scrapped and thrown away.
Anyways, I changed wool again(I'm going to try to come up with different designs for different colors. But they WILL be subtle, as to not "break" what people have designed with default), and finally added wheat. I'll update the zip when I have something more substantial.
:sad.gif: I even reported this thread to try to get it moved and still no luck :sleep.gif:
What's been updated?
> Ink Sac icon
> Lapus Lazuli icon
> Iron door icon
> Wheat tiles
> white, light grey, grey and black wools all redesigned
> Red wool redesigned with custom design(to be eventually done for all wools)
> Lapus Lazuli block(why do we even have this? O.o)
> Cake tiles!
ZIP has been updated for now.
Now all I can hope for is for Notch to desaturate the default colored wools! It's hard to designs the colored wools when the default look so vibrantly ugly to the point where I hate using them with default.
> New fish icon, and I'm very happy with it
> Along with that, a fish on a stick for cooked fish
> Samurai sandals(Sorry, I tried, but I couldn't finish the leather set :sad.gif:)
> Royal Red wool
> Royal Purple wool
> Pink Heart wool
> Subtle blue and light blue
> New cobblestone and mossy cobblestone(to probably be edited later)
I like the contrast with the fence against the grass.
Your cooked fish icon is making me laugh hard though, reminds me of something from Sponge Bob; Also looks like hes about to go fishing too (Yes, I know its a skewer!)
Funny story! Tonight I set out to work on the armor. So all the free time I've had tonight was spent on that. Next armor up? Chainmail. So I've been working on that. Only a few minutes ago I decided to look it up on the wiki. Ya, turns out chainmail doesn't even exist in the game? :sad.gif: I mean I would have eventually worked on them when I finished the rest of the stuff, but as far as priorities go that really screwed me over! You do get a few icons that I thought were really cool to make, however.
And yes, I noticed the chainmail chestpiece is too small. I was going to have to redo that again, glad I didn't spend another hour redoing something that didn't exist!
I've contacted Eld(viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=37621) and he's agreed to help me out. What does this mean for you? Well, while my pack is being worked on Eld's little masterpieces will be filling in the blanks. I know they're not 32x, but they're still amazing to look at. Hopefully this will make the pack more appealing for use even while unfinished. And as I work on the pack his items will slowly be replaced. His current surrogates are as follow:
GUI/items.png:
chainmail leggings dark gray dye
chainmail boots rose red
iron helmet orange dye
iron chestplate cactus green
iron leggings lime dye
iron boots brown dye
diamond helmet dandelion yellow
diamond chestplate light blue dye

gold helmet pink dye
gold chestplate cyan dye

I've included CREDITS.txt in the root folder that discusses this change. So thanks again to Eld :smile.gif:
ANYWAYS, along with this you get a few updates! :smile.gif:
> New torch!
> Lots of tools! Includes:
> Diamond Shovel
> Iron Axe
> Diamond Axe
> Gold Axe
I've updated the zip with all the new stuff. edit: Oh yes, and I threw in quick support for the Wild Grass mod. I personally don't have the mod installed so I'm not sure how it'll look or if it works properly. Just thought I'd try it out.
edit2: I've also added another painting that takes advantage of the new 4x4 painting(that Notch has yet to include in the textures, but is coded in). No more purple squares!
I love your texture pack, I've been using it for a couple of months now but I forgot my password so I couldn't thank you yet. So thank you. :smile.gif: and please finish it. I love what you've done so far.
Updates for today(so far):
> Most of the dyes are complete: gray, pink, lime green, light blue, purple, magenta, teal, orange, light gray.
I might need to adjust the colors some(I'm colorblind). Right now teal isn't looking too swift.
> New redstone torches, lit and unlit
> New Birch trunk(not a half-assed one this time)
> New Pine trunk. Actually, I didn't know it was pine until AFTER I finished it and did some research. It doesn't look very... pine-like. Now I'm not sure if I should just leave it and say it doesn't matter, or switch the default with the new one.
Wow, you have really been picking up the pace, it will be one of the best Texture packs when done!
I like the dye-on-paper-piece for the secondary colour dyes, but I wonder if the coloured part might be to small in-game?
The fish are awesome and I think the pine bark is pretty piney :tongue.gif:

The numbers do obscure the colored bit somewhat. I may try shifting them to the upper-left corner of the template to see how that resolves that issue.

Can't disagree there, this is why minecraft needs to support higher resolution packs.
:biggrin.gif:
And yes, I wish Notch would see the light! I'm sure he wants to maintain his original image of what Minecraft should be, but I am really enjoying the flexibility of 32x32 more than I did messing around with 16x16. 16 CAN come out with some amazing things(your pack for example), but it's not for everyone. If higher resolution was some obscure, pain-in-the-ass thing to implement I wouldn't care, but right now it's just changing a few variables to be determined on image size instead of static numbers.
I also thought is you made the dyes more of a side view, with the paper flatter and than the coloured part can be a bit larger. The inventory numbers are pesky!

This is just the best pack I've ever come across! I really hope to see this set complete one day :-)
Cheers!
The dispenser looks awesome btw. Really love that.
