Yeah the Pumpkins were so awesome I had to add "Hugs?" to the bottom of them and I really like the secret skull texture you're working on for the hell block (got it from one of your other posts)
Texture packs don't mess with the code, thus shouldn't introduce any instability. However, the Patcher does, but it states clearly in the original post in the patcher thread that it is currently only supporting HD textures at a basic level and that there are lots of bugs. There is a reason I haven't bothered to update my pack yet.
Oh come on Mr. DustyPorViva :tongue.gif: I'm not a fan of the new grayscaled grass & leaves stuff. Mind releasing two versions? Most people know how to get rid of biome colors already. Maybe you could even introduce your own biome colors with your textures, eh? Pretty please?
Love,
Your (hopefully) favorite black-ish bird thingy.
I grayscaled them for compatibility. I haven't gotten the chance to actually test my textures out since the update so I wasn't sure how colored textures would work with the coded coloring system. If people want me to release the old colors that's fine as well, maybe Xau will even add an option to the HD patcher to get rid of biome coloring.
Started working on a new HUD. Will maybe make hearts larger if I can. Working with the HUD is oddly... annoying. Nothing aligns the way you expect(which was the problem with my first rendition). Stuff aligns weirdly, overlaps and stuff. Not fun.
In another thread some guys figured out just what part of the trianlge pic that is the overlay for grass and leaves corresponds to which biome.
Here is a relevant picture and explanation so that you can customize the color for each biome:

Based on the information found in this thread viewtopic.php?f=25&t=71923
I reversed the code and generated an image that should show exactly how the biomes map to the two colors.png files.
* RAINFOREST (rainforest)
* SEASONAL FOREST (seasonal forest)
* PLAINS (plains)
* DESERT (desert)
* FOREST (forest)
* SHRUBLAND (shrubland)
* SAVANNA (savanna)
* SWAMPLAND (swampland)
* TAIGA (taiga)
* TUNDRA (tundra)
Ghast is getting a makeover, and I've been wanting to do this since I've seen the previews of it.
I'm not sure about the cheekbones, but it's hard to portray the malnutritioned nature I envisioned them without bones for the "skin" to cling tight to. I'll see.
Not currently. Right now I'm a little side-tracked by the competition, which requires me to start a new pack from scratch given the limitations. However I'm still working here and there on this. If people want me to upload a fixed up version to at least support the new stuff from Halloween I can do that, though sadly the HD patcher is still somewhat out-of-date.

Any ETA on an updated pack?

You're making a pack for the competition?
Lol. I haven't got a chance.

I started one, then moved on to the other so I might be entering twice... but I wouldn't get any hopes up :tongue.gif: I probably won't finish, and I don't want to lose interest in this pack. Here's a sneak peak of the other two, which I'm not even sure if I like or not:
Someones been editing in MS Paint.....looks at torches....
Actually, I just happened to make the wrong color transparent when I saved it :tongue.gif:
Link in the original thread should be updated with a Halloween-compliant ZIP. Let me know if there are any graphics missing that don't involve the known bugs with the HD-patcher(watch and portals).

Minecraft is unstable at the moment because of the new update.

Those hearts look big enough. I really like the bubbles and the armor shields.
