The gold on the top of the tile just gets cut-off.
Your avatar makes me cry but anyways, To me personally i think it looks like just a small piece of gold near the top of the ore. But overall good pack so far :wink.gif:
Looks nice, except from the glass texture, which doesn't give the player a much of a perspective on what side is what.
Maybe have some borders on the edges?
Tho, your main terrain textures reminds me about Pokemon. :3

I have been contemplating the glass since I made it. On one end I like the fact that you can make larger glass panes, but on the other side is what you said.
It doesn't get cut off, it's not even on the edge of the tile.
But it is the edge of the tile
Quote from Catgoth »
It's just a small lump of ore sitting there nestled between the rocks. lol
It looks like its the bottom corner of the bigger rock on top when you tile it. At least to me it does.
Yea I like to nitpick.
It's not the edge, and it was intended :smile.gif: There is still a single row of pixels above it, and I just threw that small chunk of gold to give a little more variation to the huge chunks.
Shaping up really nicely! I especially like the water... shame it's not currently possible to skin it like that and still have animation.
I dig the way you're doing highlights and shading on several of the textures.. gives them sort of a "sculpted clay" look, which works surprisingly well. Keep up the good work :>
I think the grass color is really bad. I suggest something darker and less vibrant.
he has a point, I personally don't like the blue pixels in the grass.
The "blue" colors are a result of hueshifting in art. This is generally where you make highlights warmer and shades cooler. Yellow = warm, blue = cool. I'll admit the resizing Minecraft applies to textures does make such effects way more noticeable, and I may look into changing the blue, but I thought it blended pretty well with the world. On the otherhand I have to wholly disagree with needing to be darker and vibrant. I personally enjoy a more colorful experience, as it makes the world seem more alive. Darker colors can easily seem muddled and depressing, and it's just not the direction I want to take this.
I'm not disagreeing with your opinion on what you desire because we all have our own tastes, but I don't think I'd ever darken any aspects of the graphics, though anyone is feel free to do so for themselves.
This looks to be turning out quite well! I really like the gold and coal. I'm thinking about downloading this when it's finished and released. :biggrin.gif:

Their not talking about the hue. They are saying that it is too bright and contrasts too much.
If you find the texture too bright, its a simple matter to load the file in GIMP and tweak to your heart's content. I could even do it myself for the lazy people, if it's okay with the author, but I will wait until it is complete. I enjoy playing with texture packs, after all. XD
