In another thread some guys figured out just what part of the trianlge pic that is the overlay for grass and leaves corresponds to which biome.
Here is a relevant picture and explanation so that you can customize the color for each biome:

Based on the information found in this thread viewtopic.php?f=25&t=71923
I reversed the code and generated an image that should show exactly how the biomes map to the two colors.png files.
* RAINFOREST (rainforest)
* SEASONAL FOREST (seasonal forest)
* PLAINS (plains)
* DESERT (desert)
* FOREST (forest)
* SHRUBLAND (shrubland)
* SAVANNA (savanna)
* SWAMPLAND (swampland)
* TAIGA (taiga)
* TUNDRA (tundra)
I can't say I like some of the new updates. The darker side grass outline, the clay, flower bushes, and the leaves are not that great in my opinion. The grasscolor file also needs to actually change with each biome, though I really like what you did with the shade variation. I also don't really like any of the mobs
I made a few quick modifications, if anyone wants them (only for the September version). The grasscolor keeps to the original feel of the Quandary pixel variation for different shades of grass but adds slight changes in the grass color for each biome. A few changes have been done to the terrain as well.
Maybe you should assign each of the different season grass as one of each biome grass. That'd be cool
I liked your seasons so much, I wrote a little program to run every time I start minecraft, which will update the seasons on a 12 day rotating basis (today = june, tomorrow = july, etc.). And I thought I'd share: https://sourceforge.net/projects/quandaryrotator/
It's extremely amateur, just something for me to play with, and I thought others might enjoy. Check the readme for how to get it to work. Let me know if there's already something better out there, and I'll remove this post. Otherwise, enjoy!
I cannot get this thing to work.
Put the month folders right in .minecraft/bin/.
Download and unrar three files from 'Minecraft Texture Rotator.rar' to /.minecraft/bin/.
Made a shortcut to /.minecraft/bin/Minecraft Texture Rotator.jar.
Target of said shortcut says -> "C:\Users\Frank\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\Minecraft Texture Rotator.jar" "C:/Users/Frank/Documents/Minecraft/minecraft.exe"
Hit OK.
I double click said shortcut and it just opens up the Minecraft Texture Rotator.jar in 7-zip. What am I doing wrong?
OK, while Minecraft opens now, the game looks exactly the same. Even tried closing and reopening a couple times. The month folders should be directly in the /bin/ folder, right?

I love this pack, but I have two problems with it.
For starters, the Flint is another color than the Gravel. This is weird, considering that the Flint is achieved from the Gravel, yet there's no hint of the Flint color, in the Gravel. I'd suggest fixing this, in some way.
For seconders, the planks really needs to be darkened. It doesn't match with the Door, the Chest, the Craftbench, or anything. And this annoys me greatly.
That is actually my only problems with the pack, except that I have to re-install it after every update. That will probably be fixed, with the launch of 'official' packs :3.
Edit: Oh, and I would also love to see a dark re-skin of the boat :3.

Quandary 3.0.1 is out, so it's easier to use with the new update. Just download, open, and drop the seasonal zips that you want into your Textures folder, then load them in the game.
I'll be getting the thumbnails and descriptions fixed soon (maybe today?)!

Dont forget to move the clouds and snow to the new environment folder and the char to the mobs folder. not sure it they will work otherwise.

Help!
edit: Do this by right clicking a .jar file and going to "Open With" then "Choose Default Program"
Now mc just keeps getting stuck at 'Done Loading'. :sad.gif:
EDIT: Nevermind. Deleted the /bin folder and it's all good.

Notch hasn't implemented it into the game, not sure if he ever will.
