I just want to know one thing though,.. how does my "Best of Quandary Texture Pack" look overall? As a 16-bit texture pack, what changes do you recommend to improve its overall quality?
Overall, it looks good. So far, I'm only using the armor, but I plan on grabbing your ice texture and inserting them into my version of Quandary. I might also remove the helmets completely even though you did a really good job. I just can't stand the model. (It's either that or continue to never wear helmets.)
The main reason I won't using your pack is that I changed the grasscolor.png in the .jar file and therefor, out-of-the-box, it's incompatible. Not sure how I feel about the shorter grass and the sand color, either. But that's just a matter of personal preference. I also prefer my mobs, for obvious reasons.

In respect, I will do my best to make better helmet models for the next update.
Thanks for your review. I appreciate your feedback. :biggrin.gif:
I'm wondering, how did you take that third picture of October on the website? Your character looks up and you're looking towards him.. How?
I'm talking about this picture:
This was purely a happy accident. I was running around our SMP server taking pictures when my client crashed. I booted back up to find a copy of my avatar watching the sun rise. I grabbed a shot of him and then he disappeared.
We use avatars by the same guy! Awesome.
Very nice pack, by the way.
I would like to let you know that I absolutely loathe and detest Quandry for one simple reason: I now cannot use any other texture pack. Quandry is too damn good, and everything (EVERYTHING) looks wrong in comparison, even the HD packs don't look right.
The trees don't change for me...
I have the September pack in, and the leaves don't show up the same way they do in the terrain.png
They don't show up because of Notch's biome update. Since then, the grass and tree leaves carry a distinct shade of green rather than the intended color shown in the terrain.png. To put it simply, the seasons are broken.
You need to place the grasscolor and foliagecolor files in the actual minecraft.jar file, located at %appdata%/.minecraft/bin
The Texture Rotator will change the foliage and grass gradients automatically. I have discovered it doesn't play nice with other mods, though. But I had been using it with BetterLight/Grass with no problem.
I've tweaked some of the mobs for this pack. I'll be releasing an upgrade once I Quandarize the new water mob.
-Cows: Have udders again, just in time for milk for the cake recipe.
-Pigs: Improved snout.
-Pigmen: Improved snout.
-Zombie Pigmen: Improved snout!
-Ghasts: Slightly improved opened mouth.
-Sheep, Chickens, Spiders, Zombies, Skeletons: No changes.
I had plans to make some of the mobs change with the seasons. But unless people really want it, I'll probably not bother.
I have also started Quandarizing the mobs from Mo' Creatures Mod, if anyone is interested.

Just to be clear, I meant the 3D models the game uses. In other words, the giant box that sits on your character's head.
I'll look forward to seeing what you do with them.
Anyways, you got me all jazzed about texturing Minecraft again. So thank you.

Curse PremiumYes, this is 16 x 16.
But I'm hoping you don't have a stone-age computer, or else you shouldn't be having any trouble.
Keep up the good work

(Very rough...)
items.png --> goes in the "gui" folder of the .zip file.
terrain.png --> goes in the root of the .zip file.
YEEESSSS!!!! Also, mobs changing with the seasons sound really awesome.
