Okay, I'm gonna need some help. I've made a custom painterly pack to use for minecraft, but the stupid thing won't load on Texturepacks, even when I put it in as a .rar file! I've tried everything, HELP!
What OS?
If Window$, all you need to do is copy the .zip file from Painterly into the "\Application Data\.minecraft\texturepacks" folder. Once you log in to Minecraft, at the first screen there is a "Mods and Texture Packs" button. Click it. The .zip file will show up in the list, select it, and enjoy.
Tip: Remember to remane the .zip file from Painterly something unique, so it is easier to keep them separate when you (eventually :happy.gif: ) create more!

I think it should be a requirement that author's post at least one picture of their pack in use, rather than 200 links to individual textures...just a thought.

- added option to put small numbers in corner of hotbar
- 9 options for hotbar item selection cursor
- 2 options for menu buttons
- 3 new pumpkin variants added - gargoyle, grave and strange stone
- 2 new 'dungeon-style' cobblestones added (also added as half blocks and mossy cobblestone.)
- 2 new 'dungeon-style' mossy cobblestones added
- Jiang Shi zombie added
- You can now set the water splashes in custom particles to 'small' or 'none'
- 2 new foliage colour overlays added - 'canada' and 'grit-smooth'
- 2 new grass colour overlays added - 'canada' and 'grit-smooth'
- custom graphics for achievements/statistics which currently support them added.
Have you ever considered asking permission from other people to use their texture pack(s) in the painterly pack? I'd really love to see dokucraft and glimmar's steampunk in there. s for making this.
uhh... is there something wrong with the .zip files that painterly pack distributes? every time i open the .zip up it gives an error 'this archive is either in unknown format or damaged'.

Two small updates:
May 10th update: Added support for airships. Because airships are awesome. You can get Pchan3's airship mod HERE.
Featured are:
- added rope option for string
- 2 airship bases - light and dark wood
- 2 airship engines - light and dark wood
- 6 airship balloon options - basic white, starapple, pirate, creeper, ghast, and happy ghast
May 11th update: Another tiny update, adding a few things I had in the works but didn't have time for yesterday, as well as some amazing new community-submitted armor options by the talented LvK.
Featured are:
- fixed minor alignment issue with some gui options
- new cloth armor: barbarian
- new cloth armor: barbarian with fake muscle suit
- new iron armor: horned helmet savage plate
- new gold armor: variant gag armor
- new diamond armor: high-fantasy redstone tech
- 2 new brown pig options - regular and special needs
- 4 new pink pigman options - regular and eyeless in normal and bone
- 2 new pink zombie pigman options
As I've watched Painterly evolve over time, I've seen that support for some awesome mods has been added into the texture pack. One recent mod that has caught my eye is Balthichou's Random Mob Skins mod. This mod forces each individual mob to use a randomized skin upon spawn, providing more visual variety while playing the game. That hoard of zombies chasing after you will no longer look like an army of identical clones, for example. It would be awesome if Painterly included an option to support this mod so that people wouldn't have to redownload the pack several times to obtain all of the desired mob skins included within. :smile.gif:
I have a question. Ive spent a long time perfecting my options in painterly, getting them exactly how I want them. How do i keep my texures? Obvously he will update it for 1.6 but how do I keep all of my other options? Its not saved on the website.

Curse PremiumMaybe I would consider using it if the tools were more like default, but I'm not joking I honestly feel like a fairy with those tools.
In all honesty, some of the tools are very nice, but yeah, some are a little ornamental. I do love dressing all in gold as King, though.
SWIRLY PACK (WIP): A 16x pack intended to be as nice feeling as a pack at a higher resolution.

Wow, a collection of pixels shaped like a pickaxe actually changes your sexual orientation? It must really suck to be you.
... I'm sorry, I really tried to make that less pissy but I just couldn't do it.
SO ANYWAY:
This update is awesome. I've been wanting an alternate zombie for ages! And I love those particle effects! :biggrin.gif:
oh and all of my other .zip files are fine
