Yeah, from a combination of me posting about them, and people exploring the .JARs.
Wow, really? Could you be anymore cocky? You found something in the jar that a lot of other people did too, and your trying to take so much credit for it, as if you put them in there yourself.
On-topic: Can't wait for the Painterly Pack update. I really despise the default textures.
I'm seeing this mumbo jumbo all over the forums about those overlay gradients. I suppose you can probably replace that too for a transparent layer, right?
Yup whats nice is the leaves and grass have there own overlay so you can keep the leaves changing colors but switch it so the grass doesnt.
Working great for me under minecraft 1.2.0_02. It's probably one of your texture options?
One tiny glitch though: Water blocks seams along the north-south edges display flashing white pixels. No matter what water option I choose.
And one note for the potentially distracted: If you choose one of the mcpatcher water options, you have to run mcpatcher afterwards and choose the option to fix water. You either run it after installing the texture pack, or use it to install the texture pack. Doesn't matter. As long as you select the option to fix water.

I was trying to think of a signature and this is what came up.
Once again, Kas doesn't cease to amaze me with his excellent graphical abilities.
This is the only texture pack I use, and will ever use.
Kas = God :tongue.gif:
As for the side-grass problems, check the terrain.png, see if the side-grass is biome-compliant (e.g. grayscale). If so, that may be the problem.....if it isn't biome-compliant, well then I don't know.
The side grass block isnt suppose to be greyscale its only the top of grass and leaves that is.
Grayscaling the sidegrass doesn't work (yet). However, Kas is planning to make the option available (I believe) so that as soon as it DOES work, it will be available.

That seems weird.
Then side-grass would never change colour according to biomes.
I won't claim to know my stuff around minecraft skinning, but it sounds more logical for the side-grass to also be grey-scale.
But I could be completely wrong.
In any case, I was just about to ask about the missing side-grass myself, since it's happening to me as well.
Chose biome compliant leaves and grass, and the side-grass is missing. Terrain.png shows just a dirt block, instead of grass on the side.
Anarky, normally I don't disagree with you, as you seem to know what you're talking about, but in this case, you're wrong. The side grass texture not being biome-compliant is the reason that side-grass currently stays the same color no matter which biome you're in.
Without side-grass being biome-compliant, it looks stupid when compared to the top-grass. Melfice is correct in this situation.
I'm not sure what your trying to say here, but side grass in the default texture pack isn't biome compliant. It's a fixed colour, and yes, it does look a little dodgy.
Side-grass in the default texture pack should be grayscale, although it obviously will stay grayscale ingame, probably due to the lack of a designated side-grass color .PNG like GrassColor.PNG and FoliageColor.PNG.
Or b/c sidegrass isnt just shades of green due to the dirt making custom textures a nightmare which is why he probly opted for this way.
It is happening with the all 3 water options in the texture pack.
Upload your TERRAIN.png you got from Painterly and I'll fix it for you. Or if you know how to edit the file in proper image software clear the water area from the paint pack and copy over the default water from the default terrain pack.
lol I just noticed your grass and leaves arent set for the new grayscale change were they change colors depending on the biomes, do you want me to change that?
Well, I'm really very picky about the grass. It's the only grass and leaves (both are the painterly default) that I actually like. I'm also mostly still playing in an old world. And will stay for a long while. So, I guess that's quite alright, anarky. I think this should be enough.
Thank you so much!

Oh, okay then. Well, I just wanted to point out that the new pngs are common knowledge by now.

You can pretty much do this now, if you cut and paste the new halloween textures into the old terrain.png, and make the gradient triangles clear
Yes I'm having the same problem
Edit: everything seems to be working fine now

Snow...Amount of trees....Sand....Leaf color....tons of ways.

I'm pretty sure that's your gfx card doing that.

Here try this. Make sure it saves as a PNG file and take the L out of the file name before putting it in the .jar
