Windows Vista. I'm just gonna wait until the Desert Pack is out.
Hmmm... Are you absolutely sure you put the textures in, not just the 'Skin' folder? You need to put the raw textures and folders in, ie terrain.png or gui.
There's only the "skin" folder and the Readme, nothing else. I go into the skin folder, highlight everything in there, and drag it into Minecraft.jar.
Yak, my water isn't working correctly. It doesn't animate like in the video, nor does it sparkle. I've tried everything, HELP!
Ok what I did was to tick both "animate water" and "custom water" (contrary to what Kas said :S) and install the pack with mcpatcher. Then i had to add the "custom_water_still/flowing.png" files manually to minecraft.jar

Wait. He said NOT to tick it?
In order to use this water, you have to install the pack using MCPatcher, with the texture settings set to 16x16, making sure you've enabled both the 'custom water' and 'animated water' options.

This says he said to tick it.
On his youtube vid, his comment was like, "make sure mcpatcher has custom water an animate water checked off".
Checked off as in, off, or ticked off? Was confusing I guess. I think he's now deleted the comment.
Decided to take it upon myself to make the dirt brown...still needs tweaking and I didn't apply it to the snow texture dirt yet.
That looks MUCH better Anarky, great job!
Thanks! Few adjustments made the grass slightly higher like default on the sides and fixed the water, for some reason it was giving me these white lines inbetween the watger blocks so I just moved the water from the default texture over and it fixed it.
sweetness! this is awesome. I especially like the inventory/furnace/crafting windows

Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity.
You have to have the client downloaded to use textures and I'm at a loss of words that it works in your browser but not on your computer...this doesnt make sense.
actually I think you have to delete the VERSION file inthe Bin folder if you do anything to the Jar files Minecraft wont even take you to the screen were it downloads it again.
