Wow so I was trying like 5 times to get this texture pack to work, even though I've gotten it to work plenty times before. Well I figured out that it won't add the texture pack if I run McPatcher from my desktop, I actually have to go into the mixcraft folder and navigate all the way to the patcher from there. Why does it have to be done that way? Makes it way more complicated.

You should make it so wood makes paper, I mean how does a sugar cane in real life make paper?
this is my first time using a texture pack it looks great but do texture packs not work in multi player? everything is red and green also doubled as if i were drunk never mind now it's red and green in the single player too and when i tried the uninstall it still does thing the only way i can play now is in red and green I've even tried deleting all of minecraft and reinstalling same thing is there another file i should be looking for because it seems a lot more rooted then the bin file
You are playing in 3d. You can change it to off in the options.
I'm loving this texture pack. One problem however. I can't make ladders. I can create everything else, but the game simply wont show it in the creation box. Any ideas?

Finally got around to trying out some texture packs and I have to say that yours is by far my favorite. I really like how your pack stays mostly true to the original design that Notch intended for Minecraft. There were a few, shall we say, more "artistic" packs I tried and while I enjoyed them immensely they just weren't all that practical and made me feel like I was playing a sort of psuedo-Minecraft rather than the real thing.

Main reason for that is that some OS's just don't have their pathing and things like that setup well enough for the patcher to do it from wherever. most Windows OS's are usually OK, but if not, you'll probably need to add Java to your PATH variable.
You better do it for now... I'm not the best pixel artist. I know a very good one though. I'd ask him, but I haven't downloaded the newest Minecraft yet... So I don't know what we need. I'll see. Meantime, you have a go at it, Raposa :biggrin.gif:
I've been working on adding the new textures to the files (the bed and repeater and stuff), should I even bother or should I just wait for someone to do new art for it first...or is someone else already working on this?

After the 1.3 beta was released the texture pack no longer works for some reason unless I use the more simple version of it instead of the more complex one, and even then the new bed item doesn't appear to be rendered by the game engine making it invisible in the inventory and a textureless square in the game world. Am I the only one seeing this?
It's not going to work yet, there aren't bed textures and stuff in the old file since bed's didn't exist then. I'm working on updating the old pack to include the new textures and just upscaling them until someone can do a better/proper job. Should be done in a little while, unless someone else beats me to it, in which case I can stop bothering and go enjoy the game. :tongue.gif:

If you want to package something Raposa, you can use these 2 if they help out, I think I changed/added all the things that were different. I'll check closer after dinner.
I'm no expert by any means, but you can manually swap those 2 out for the ones in the jar file (the items one is located in the GUI folder) for the time being until someone fixes things properly. This at least gives the bed a texture and includes the new stuff, although the bed and the new redstone thing will just look blurry and crappy in the inventory since they're just upscales of what the low res stuff that came with minecraft is.
Hopefully someone will do some decent art for them soon. Hope this helps.
I want to start by first apologizing if this issue is addressed somewhere I have not yet looked, but I feel as though it is not. Secondly, I am running minecraft on a Mac. Ok, I am sure this problem has to do with the newest update (2/22/11), but when I installed the update, my worlds did not have the texture pack applied. I then quit minecraft and went to mcpatcher to see if there was anything I could do to fix this there. Mcpatcher told me that there was something wrong with my minecraft.jar which would not let me use mcpatcher. I am wondering if anyone here could lend any help my way, or even just point me in the right direction. I am very new to texture packs and the innerworkings of them, but I am very eager to learn how to address my own problems. Any help is very much appreciated.

I should probably point out that the brick texture is messed up as well with each side actually showing many different kinds of textures instead of just the brick texture.
and you'll still have that problem until that mod is updated, since currently it's designed to work with 1.2_02. Koolwitak included that mod in his package, keep an eye out for that mod to be updated though, then you can run it with the mixcraft texture pack (or an updated version that includes textures for beds and the other new items).
Once things slow down here and I have some free time I'll look at the brick problem and try to put together a zip file with mixcraft textures updated with the new items, and hopefully someone can provide some new high resolution art for them soon.
I'm not affiliated with this mod/texture pack and haven't done any work on it before, I'm just trying to help get the texture pack up and running again while Koolwitak is on vacation, since I'm a huge fan of it myself and playing minecraft without it bums me out.

Here's a picture of my most recent big project in my Minecraft world, that your pack made quite a bit less tedious:

So anyway, thanks a lot for making the Mixcraft texture pack.
