I realize Koolwitak is on vacation, so if anyone else can help me, I'd appreciate it.
I'm using windows 7 and trying to install this mixcraft pack.
I just want to use the HD texture pack (I guess the main one without all the alternatives) and I'm using mcpatcher 1.1.11.
I'm able to get the original and output fields to populate just fine, and I checked the texture pack box and am trying to use the Mixcraft HD.zip (the 7M file) which is located in:
C:\Users\(User Name)\Downloads\Mixcraft v24 Pack\New Folder\Complete Texture Packs\Mixcraft HD (main pack)
The patcher runs fine, I get the "Success.... probably" and then try to load minecraft.
Minecraft starts up fine, but is still using my other 32x32 texture pack instead of Mixcraft.
In minecraft hit mods and texture packs and hit the default look of minecraft.
What am I doing wrong? I appreciate any help from anyone.

Go to minecraft and select default look in the launcher.

If you have a problem installing the pack, watch the video instructions first, then post here if you need to.
Hopefully, Vexx or Raposa will be around to answer your question, so just wait patiently for an answer.
In the event that Notch releases new content while I'm gone, which he most likely will, I would greatly appreciate it if someone would use an image editing program to edit in the new textures, and then post the image here.
Please DO NOT make a new topic called "Mixcraft Updated Version" or something like that. Only post here.
I can update the pack about 10 days from now, so you should be able to survive until then without dying.
Help! My game looks like christmas! All the trees have lights on them and the ground is snowy!
You either threw the zip file into the texturepacks folder without extracting in and reading the instructions,
or you didn't select "Mixcraft HD.zip" from the Complete Texture Packs folder when you ran the HD Patch.
Help! My compass and watch are broken! Netherrock is water! Bricks and pumpkins look weird!
You didn't install the HD Texture Patch correctly, the way I said to do it in the instructions.
Try watching the video intructions under the download link, and watch and listen carefully.
The moral of the story is:FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS, THEY ARE THERE FOR A REASON!!

I've been trying to install the texture pack on ly laptop which has Windows 7. When I run "Test Minecraft" it says unknown version of Window - Windows 7. Does this texture pack run on Windows 7? I've installed it on my desktop which runs XP. It looks great, BTW.
this is my first time using a texture pack it looks great but do texture packs not work in multi player? everything is red and green also doubled as if i were drunk never mind now it's red and green in the single player too and when i tried the uninstall it still does thing the only way i can play now is in red and green I've even tried deleting all of minecraft and reinstalling same thing is there another file i should be looking for because it seems a lot more rooted then the bin file

You are playing in 3d. You can change it to off in the options.
I love this pack! There is however one problem, while enabled, the compass doesn't work.

Go to minecraft and select default look in the launcher.
I want to remove it, but I can't locate the patcher in my Minecraft.jar folder.
Please Help!
This is probably due to a mod... it's nothing we can fix, and not much I can help you with as I know no Java coding...
You didn't install it right. Read the big red letters in the OP and follow the instructions included in the download.
