Also, remove any texture packs in the ~\.Minecraft\texturepacks folder and try again.
Ah! That fixed it. Thank you very much!
Did you have any pack that was not 16x16 in the texturepacks folder? I have 5 or 6 16x16 packs on that folder all the time and never had the problem you had when installing higher resolution packs.

I just added a short and simple installation video under the download for people who don't like to read.

You can help me with the mob pit, it's basically just going to be all kinds of traps and a big arena (possibly made out of obsidion to prevent destruction by creepers) for us to fight and kill mobs for resources or just for fun!
Sorry I keep changing the "next open" time for the server, I don't think I'm going to be able to do it tonight.

You misunderstand the problem. This pack is a 32x32 pack, NOT a 16x16. The OpenGL Pre-render failing error occurs when you have previously chosen a nonstandard texture pack using the in-game texture pack selector that is not a 32x32 pack, and have not switched back. This causes the game to be trying to render textures that are the wrong resolution (not the resolution of texture pack it was patched for). By removing all texture packs from the texturepacks folder, you are forcing the game to use whatever textures are contained in the .jar file (which, after patching, would be the Mixcraft ones). The simplest way to fix this one is to patch using the Complete texture packs and ensuring you have only 32x32 texture packs in the texturepacks folder. Once the game is patched to 32x32, that is the only resolution of texture pack it will accept. I.e. you can no longer use 16x16 texture packs after applying the HD patcher. (Y'know, I would've thought Xau would have figured out a way to let it use all resolutions of texture packs through the in-game selector one you've applied his patch)...

Not sure if this has been covered. I've read back 40 pages and didn't see it, so excuse me if someone has had the same problem.
I loaded the HD complete pack (BTW awesome job, games looks great) runs fine, for awhile. Then it black screens and freezes. Whole system locks down and I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to the task manager and manually shut Minecraft down. Reload the game and it's fine ( though I have ended up inside walls and such ) for a little while again. It can happen anywhere from 5 minutes in to over an hour later.
This is what windows tells me is going on.

I've uninstalled. Reinstalled. Uninstalled again. Drag and dropped the zip in and out of the texture folder, etc... So if someone could point me in the right direction to correct this problem I would be most grateful. There might even be an animal sacrifice. In the temple to you I build in game, that is...
Several possible problems causing this. One could be a mod (it happens to me when using the GLSL shaders mod), it could be that your Java software is out of date, it could be that your video card drivers are out of date, or it could just be that you're running too many programs to run a memory-intensive program like Minecraft. I am leaning toward the last. If none of the previous suggestions work, go find IOBit GameBooster. Install that, and customize it to put any unnecessary background applications on hold when entering "Game Mode". Then, activate Game Mode and run Minecraft. It should hopefully not hang. Just be sure to switch back to Normal Mode once you're finished playing, so everything else works properly.
Everyone I have some bad news, I have to discontinue Mixcraft...... Naaaaa I'm just messin with you!
But seriously, I am going to be away this weekend, so unfortunately that means no server until monday.
However the server IS going to be open from 12:00pm to 5:00pm (eastern standard time) tomorrow!
I used this texture pack and everything was ****ing snowy! It either sucks or needs an update!
Or you need to know how to install properly.
You need to know how to install you **** correctly!
OI! Slug, no being a total jerk. Do not ever blame someone else for your own problems. If you had read any part of this topic, you would see that your problem has been responded to a billion times before, so Raposa was quite justified in treating you like an idiot. Remember that children play this game and are members on this forum, so please refrain from swearing. If I see it again, I'll report it. And yes, your problem is entirely your fault, so don't try and blame anyone here. It occurs fairly often (say, once per page of this topic since Kool first released the Christmas Edition), so I'm not even gonna bother answering you. Find your own answers, and don't expect any help or assistance if you treat people like dirt.
Oh, and if you just post "OMG it doesnt work!!!! What's wrong with it?" expect an answer like "It's your fault, you should be asking what's wrong with you." If you want help, ask nicely, and be clear about your problem. Nobody has the gift of telepathy here, so i suggest you stop forcing me to break your mind to get the information and just giving it simply and easily like normal people.
/rant. Sorry, but those two idiots who failed to see that their problem was of their own making deserved such a response.
In future, ask nicely and be informative about any problems you have. It's easier for everyone, and it will get you an answer much quicker.
Even my wall of words is too ninja for you, Raposa :biggrin.gif:
EDIT: I just realized that was the second time in 3 days I had to rant at a newb... I really hate people who arrive with a know-it-all attitude, assuming they know everything and that they can't do anything wrong, so everything that goes wrong is someone else's fault. It's okay if they do know enough to cover for their attitude, but people who actually know enough to have the privilege to act like that are rare... I used to know a guy who'd suck up to the admins and such, and then he DDoS'd the forum lol... I pray that nobody else goes that way, but newbs like this are halfway there (except of course for that fact of their obvious stupidity preventing them from setting up a DDoS).

I know this is a 32x32. I just thought the problem was somehow related to placing packs that are not 16x16 like this one in the texturepacks folder. I have no Idea of all the other stuff you just explained though.
I like to switch between my favorite packs, and they go from 16 to 128. I only have 16x16 packs on that folder. Mixcraft and other higher res packs are kept in a separate folder.

Yeah. For some reason the bug only seems to affect certain chipsets. Couldn't tell you off the top of my head which ones, but the only fix is to remove all packs from the texturepacks folder then run the game, and just don't use a pack with res other than 32x32 after you've patched it.

That right there is a convincing enough reason for why we should develop telepathy: we can implant thoughts and stop people from being so stupid... (in theory :tongue.gif:).
Server's coming along well, judging by those images. Sorry I can't pop in at the moment... I'm busy with work and stuff for now :sad.gif:
Any progress on the mossy cobblestone? A preview would be awesome...keep up the good work!
Kool said he was going away for the weekend, not sure if he still is (since he just said he'd opened the server...) but he's also said he's gonna postpone any future updates till there's some new stuff in minecraft.
On that note, Kool, you may want to attempt to work out what the "new block" is that Jens added (he mentioned it a couple of times on Twitter). It'll probably be in the next update.

Okay after having dug around some and finally stumbled upon the cause of this error. It has nothing to do with MIXCRAFT at all. I just bolded that to make sure those that skim see the problem has nothing to do with the MOD in any way.
It has everything to do with a 64 bit OS running Java in 32 bit mode. I haven't found a reliable way to force IE9 to launch in 64 bit mode, so updating Java to 64 bit has no effect. IE9 running in 32 bit mode forces Java to run 32 bit, so it's a zero sum game. The 32 bit Java app running has some sort of effect on the 64 bit OS and it builds up a conflict (processor use, memory, magical blue smoke that allows electronics to run) to go over it's limit and cause a nasty gremlin to be unleashed in your case to wreak havoc on you system (best explanation I can come up with. It's the Gremlins man!!!). But have no fear!!! I have a work around. It has to do with allowing the game to save. Somehow it seems to have an effect on the gremlins release timer...
1.) Hit your ESC key
2.) Look at the bottom left hand corner
3.) Notice it is "saving" the game
4.) Wait for the to stop showing that it is saving
5.) Hit the ESC key again and continue playing.
6.) Continue to build temple to Vexx32
7.) ???????????
8.) Profit!
Vexx32,
Thanks for the nudge in the right direction. Those ideas on the possible cause of the problem lead me to the correct reason I was crashing. Having installed Mixcraft the day before was just a fluke and didn't cause any of the problem.
So I'm wondering what type of temple you are looking for? Classic Gothic architecture , New age hedonistic glass, Industrial age steel? Also do you prefer sheep, chickens or cows?

You're obviously an immature child who doesn't care enough to even be somewhat polite.
Try reading what I wrote in BIG BOLD RED LETTERS on the first page under the download.
I even included video instructions for people who are too lazy to read. This really isn't that hard.
