Kool said he was gonna add in the terrain bugfix, but it's still pretty much vanilla. Any anti-lag mods out there? I have slow internet, so it's really annoying for me.

i dont think so. some server mods have performance enhancers tho
I'm having a strange problem. Everytime I launch my game (after installing the texture pack correctly), the higher-res skin never get's applied. I checked my minecraft.jar, and the texture is in there, but it never loads, it's always default. However, launching minecraft via the "Test Minecraft" button in the patcher, then loading single player DOES load the new skin. Whenever I load minecraft from the icon on my desktop, it doesn't load for single player or multiplayer.
Not sure what to do, as the char.png is 128x64 so patching is necessary to use the skin.

It seems like only when it loads from that URL does it work ingame.
I'm using windows vista 64bit.
Any help at all would be much appreciated.
If you mean the player skin, it's just what happens. Minecraft only keeps the skin in the mobs/char.png as a backup in case it can't connect to the server. If you want the hi-res player skin, just add a random character to your username and it should give an error when you try to login. Then press "Play Offline" and voila! You have your hi-res player skin!
Here's what the current map looks like, it's getting bigger and even more awesome!!

Thanks a lot for the reply, unfortunately my goal was to play online with some friends. We all downloaded the texture pack, but I (the server host) was the only one who wasn't able to use the new skin. I remember previously when I used the texture pack I had no issue with the skin being a part of the pack. But now it always gives me the default player skin, which looks silly with the newly textured world.
How exactly do people play online with custom player skins? Would that only work through minecraft.net using the skin uploader? And if that's the case, I'm confused as to how the two players who connected to my server were able to use the player skin that came with this pack, while I was unable to no matter how many times I tried to start clean and install this mod.
The problem is very complex, and I don't have the luxury to type up a page long explanation. Suffice it to say that you're better off downloading the MCSkinedit program (just do a search for a skin editor), and making your own skin. Make it as simple or complex as you wish. Also... you're allowed to add a Hat/Hood/Helmet/Crown/whatever (i used the Hat functionality to make for some better-looking 3-D hair). Then just upload it at minecraft.net/skin and you're set. That's all I can suggest - I have had the same problem and got fed up enough to make my own skin.

Hi there. I am having some problems installing this pack. I seem to be following your semi-cryptic instructions to the point, but still am getting a black screen when I launch Minecraft. Here is my Java error code.

Follow the "How to Uninstall" instructions in the "Complete Texture Packs" folder.
This will reset your textures to default and fix the problem, then you can try to reinstall.
I don't really know what you're doing wrong. All you need to do is run the patcher, check the texture pack box, browse for the "Mixcraft HD.zip" file, the tile size should change to 32x32, and then you just click the Patch button and wait for it to finish patching.
I have an issue with sandstone when I use Mixcraft. I have tried other packs but none of them come across this issue.
Any one know why? or what i should do to fix it.
I did not edit the texture pack in any way. just downloaded it and installed it.

Just try rotating through the render distances.
Had the same problem last night and that fixed it.

Did you try quitting your game and starting it up again?

You've been busy lately Kool. If I don't remember wrong, last time I checked, this was version 17?

Thank god our server doesn't look like the Vietnam War right now!
THE SERVER IS NOW OPEN
As you can see, I've completed the outside of the tower, so it looks much better now:

The download contains a few different pack variants and other files, so it's a total of 19.17 MB
Just make sure you extract the zip file and follow the instructions for the pack you want to install
Totally off-topic: 2000th post !! Congrats Kool
