I really like the texture pack but I'm afraid that it will slow down my minecraft. Does it slow down? Please reply as soon as possible because I really want the pack!

As said above, it shouldn't. However... depending on how good your computer is, you will probably notice a slight drop of framrate (say, if your normal framerate averages about 40, it might go down to about 35. My normal framerate averages about 30, and it went down to about 27ish).
Hmm. Firewall problems, eh? Let's see what we can do... If its not a firewall running on a router, you should be able to add both your minecraft.exe and your javaw.exe programs as exceptions in your firewall... that ought to fix it. If it doesn't... does anyone remember what port Minecraft uses to connect to SMP servers? If you know that port, you can add that as an exception as well. If it still doesn't work... then I guess you could always switch off your firewall while you play SMP, then just switch it back on when you're finished...
We needz as many people as possible to play!
Also... Koolwitak... Can we please set aside an area of say... 4x4 chunks for a Spleef Arena? I can build it... I just wanna be able to do it without interference... tehe. Spleef :biggrin.gif:

Well as soon as I have a connection that is not erm -cough- Government sponsored I think I will join you guys. Not like there is any sane way to get private internet out here anyhow. Yay.

4x4 chunks? So you mean 64x64 blocks? That's a lot of space to set aside for an arena...
I was going to start with a small wooden cabin, then create a mine and get lots of minerals,
then build some sort of lookout tower, then build an incinerator and a cobblestone generator,
then maybe a mob-killer if we have mobs turned on, then start working on a larger mansion.
Of course we should also be constantly working on some kind of giant awesome monument!
Also Vexx, the new sandstone is done, check the top post again ^^^
Hello, I love your texture pack. I installed it and everything worked fine for a while, but then the next day I opened minecraft and it goes to a black screen after the mojang screen. I deleted my bin folder and let the defaults get replaced then proceeded to run the patcher again, pointed it to the zip in my texture pack folder and unchecked custom water and lava. I patch and then open minecraft and get the same problem. I used the zip from the in game selector folder. Any ideas?
You should know that with that big an arena... we can have a nice big game of Spleef... although, I guess we probably should limit it to 32x32, or else it might take too long to rebuild the arena floor when we're finished. Perhaps we should make it so that monsters spawn in there, too... or if you had some hMod plugins or something similar, you could add a couple of mobs before we begin... just for extra chaos. Maybe 1 creeper for every player that's in the arena, but they all start in the centre of the arena... ehehehehe. Well done with the sandstone :biggrin.gif: It should work very well :smile.gif:

Tell the patcher to use the Mixcraft HD.zip that you find in the Complete texture Packs\Mixcraft HD (main pack) folder. AFTER the mojang screen, eh? That's odd. REALLY odd. Normally when MC blackscreens it does it BEFORE it loads the Mojang screen... also, you don't actually have to delete your bin folder to make it redownload. Just delete the file called "version" thats in the bin folder and it'll redownload everything.
What mods are you using? It may have something to do with those.
Also... check what new programs you installed immediately prior to the blackscreen problem. It may have been a program that runs in the background that's messing with Minecraft's graphics engine.
Having trouble with Minecraft after downloading this.
I get a black screen after login on the downloaded game. This does not go away and makes it almost impossible to close the window, making me force quit it. Java also stops responding.
On the browser version, it's completely different. I get the screen with the loading thing, and since I have a slow computer I see the end of the loading process sometimes. But now, it's frozen on the loading process, saying "Done loading.".
I run Windows XP SP3. I would appreciate a response. Tell me if I should repost this in support, too.
Also: Yes, I did patch the file. I've tried restarting my computer to fix this, did not work.

Sounds a lot like a problem another person had on this same page. Here is what vexx said.

It really is important to make sure you know exactly which .zip file to direct the HD patcher to before selecting.

Did you install the Complete Texture Pack or the In-Game Selector Pack?
And do you know where your ".minecraft" folder is? (The one with all your save files)
Oh, and make the cracks look random... so we don't have some weird bricky cracks... that never happens on a natural rock that is formed as layers...

Thanks! Does anyone see anything else I should fix before Version 24? Blocks or items or...?
Also I would like to play on your SMP server when school and work permit.
Oh woops haha, I forgot to delete that (I was using it as a reference for the cracks in the sandstone)
