I love the pack but only one thing bothers me, how can I keep my custom skin for my character.
Upload your skin in your minecraft.net profile.
I think he means in survival mode, not in multiplayer, but I could be wrong...
- Find your custom skin
- Open the "Mixcraft HD (main pack)" folder
(I'm assuming this is the one you are using, but it works the same way)
- Double click on the Mixcraft HD zip folder to open it as an archive
- Open the "mob" folder in the archive
- Drag and drop your custom skin into the archive
(your custom "char.png" will overwrite my custom "char.png")
- Close the archive window
- Install Mixcraft HD by following the instructions
...I really like it, but the grass, and smaller details just.. put me really off. I don't really like that.. 'olive' green, and the reeds/plants fell... a bit too chunky. ;P
im not sure if it is my pc or something ive done wrong, but when i open minecraft i log in and then it goes black i click on the screen it doesnt respond, if i dont click on it, it just stays there. if there is no way to fix this how do i unistall this pack,

You did something wrong. Just follow the instructions, pretty simple stuff.
To uninstall and try again delete your "bin" folder. Launch minecraft so you can download the original files again. After the download is complete close the game and try to install the pack again.
i tried again folowed every instruction step by step, then pressed test minecraft and i got some wierd problem idk, so i just deleted minecraft. and reinstalled or watever its called
I pretty much never even knew we had Pine trees XD
Although... all things considered, all I can see you've done with the Birch biome colours is to copy the normal one and use it for Birch... shouldn't the Birch tree leaves be lighter in colour or summat?
Hang on... is the Pine trees the ones with the really dark wood?

I tried changing the birch tree biome colors, but nothing happened, they just stayed the same.
I can try it again with the new patcher, but I don't think it will be any different...

Yeah, the dark wood is for the pine trees
i think the new patch fixed that problem cause xau said he updated for 1.2_01 so it should work now :smile.gif:
Not likely, but possibly worth a shot. Also, Koolwitak... if you grayscale the normal leaves, THEN go fiddling with biome colours, you'll see a heap more results. Although... you'll have to make sure that the foliagecolor.png only has shades of green, unless you want reddish leaves :tongue.gif:
Thanks a lot for this pack. The new version is SO EASY. I gave up to find out the following day this easy process came up. I showed my roommates this pack and they all downloaded it. Mixcraft=epic win.

I used his leaf and log textures as a base for mine, so that's probably why
haha. But I love that. Cause i love brown and bloom but he's not updating :L
So i found an alternative....MIXCRAFT XD

I do want reddish leaves. It looks less boring and more realistic. Trees have red leaves sometimes.
Hurray for third-party advertising! =D
The shovels are rotated 90 degrees so it looks like you're actually digging and not just whacking the ground.
