I gotta give Koolwitak a lot of credit. This is a great looking pack and he seem to keep it updated and is always willing to give technical support. Great to see this kind of commitment to the community!

You'll need to edit your terrain.png file, which can be found inside the Mixcraft HD.zip file. Just copy/past the alternate from where it is into the correct place. Do it with precision, or you'll get funny edges on your blocks.
@Koolwitak:
That sandstone texture does look good, but it is not sandstone. Has anyone here actually seen sandstone? Its a normal rock, not made out of bricks or anything... If you're aiming for semi-realistic, you'll need to deviate somewhat from the Minecraft norm.
Oh, and you do know that i have been using your "easier" way of installing MixCraft since about v19, right? I was always telling people who had trouble installing it to use that method. Never got a whole lot of notice though :tongue.gif:

I agree. It needs to be layered... Just do an image search. Some of the reds are really cool, but minecraft sand is tan.
I like the example Kool linked above, but use the pink part through out and no bricks.
Hey guys, when i play MineCraft with the MixCraft pack, it has like a Christmas theme. The grass is snow and like the are not they are like presents. Did i mess up?
Well here I go I'm going to ask a question that a lot of people will probably find stupid. I installed the pack, it works great. No problem. I know Notch added in the menu the texture pack area. Is there a way to put your texture pack in there for an easy on/off toggle? I'm trying out texture packs for the very first time today, so sorry if this has been asked/answered before. So far I really like your pack though!

You should make it so wood makes paper, I mean how does a sugar cane in real life make paper?

Yeah, just install one of the In-Game Selector Packs instead of the Complete Texture Packs
They don't look as good as the complete ones, but you can toggle them on and off
Oh so that's what in game means. What changes? The look of it? The HD? Or are all the blocks not available?
See that text file called "The Difference"? The one right below the two packs?
The in-game one does not have my custom water animation or my custom tree biome colors,
which are both things that make the game look a lot better, so the complete one is better.
That's too bad. I heard water isn't actually in the texture section, is that the same with trees? And is that why it's not able to be in the in-game instalation? That's too bad. I've looked around the last 20 minutes around here for more textures, but I haven't seen any I liked more than this one. The wool texture makes my furniture look a bit different, but that's okay. I think I'll stick with mixcraft I like it. :smile.gif: Do you plan on re-skinning the mobs at all?

It doesn't work in the in-game selector because Notch hasn't tried to make it work yet
And I did re-skin the mobs... Just not the squid (yet)
Lol I just saw some cows and sheep. They haven't been spawning regulary for me, so I hadn't seen them yet. And I don't think I saw any in your pictures, unless I'm just too tired to look carefully. The textures all look very nice! The glass is much better and looks great in mu sun room to see the sunrise. Which now looks better because it's not a square! Did you reskin the new tree logs? I haven't seen them or used them yet.

Obviously not. In fact, you would have to purposely go out of your way in order to install that pack.
Extract the zip file to a folder and read the intructions that are included in the pack
Thanks.
