I feel silly for asking this, but in the alternative textures area of the terrain.png, is "LiteSt" shorthand for "LightStone?" (Glowstone). Just curious.
Yes, it is. I would have called it "GlowSt" but unfortunately it doesn't fit in the box.

So I tried out your texture pack with the Better Lights+Ambient Occlusion mod and WOW! It looks better than I ever thought Minecraft could possibly look. I'm sure you know what skin I'll be using for the next month or so....
Koolwitak... or anyone else... Would someone mind uploading the newest version of the pack to a site OTHER than mediafire? Normally, I can use Mediafire fine, but it's just being a pain in the ass for me right now. Irt absolutely refuses to let me download a thing... I've been waiting over 3 hours for it to let me download, I've deleted cookies, etc, etc. It just won't let me do it... for NO REASON AT ALL. AARGH!
So, if someone would kindly find a temporary site for it to be uploaded to, I'd be mighty grateful :smile.gif:
I'm new to minecraft (playing for about a month), but I'm already unable to play with the original textures thanks to this pack. I've tested a lot of them and to me this is the best so far.
Mixcraft + Better Light = amazing.
My only problem with v23 is the sandstone block. It doesn't quite "match" with the rest of the pack. Looks really weird to me. In fact, it looks more an alternate wooden plank texture.

I took out the guns that weren't HD because I figured not many people use them. I will make an HD ak-47 now.

I was upset because I've answered this question many times before... I'm usually really calm and easy to get along with until people start ignoring my instructions and then complaining to ME for their own mistakes.

Yup. Unfortunately, at that particular time, the DL link just sent me to the Rapidshare homepage. Not sure why. Koolwitak, I attempted to fiddle with the Sandstone texture myself... I just recoloured some Stone textures... it looks all right to me. I'll wait and see what you come up with :biggrin.gif:
Is anyone having problems with seeing the new squids with this texture pack? I have started a new world but still do not see any squds. I see the new trees and sheep but no squids. I delete everything and run a fresh install of minecraft and I see squids.... install the HD pack as per instructions and no squids.

Install my pack, start a new world, and look around for at least a good 15 minutes

This looks like a great pack that I would love to try. I have tried twice though to use it, doing everything right the second time (the first time I accidentally started the patch before the rest of it). I followed the video instructions perfectly, even though there were a lot of differences between that user and I (he had windows 7, me xp professional, he had version 20, I tried version 23). I would love to get this pack working (it's my first pack! Not as simple as I thought it would be.) and if you could PM me that would be great. I have yet to delete the files from my computer, so it may be a fast fix. Thanks.
EDIT: If it's not much different, easier, and even exists, I'd happily even take the non-HD pack.

Ignore the video and just do this: Download Version 23, extract the pack to a folder, open that folder, open "Complete Texture Packs", open the "Mixcraft HD" folder, and read the "How to Install" instructions
That video is outdated and doesn't use the easier way of installing it
