I'm okay with a lack of appreciation, I just wish more people would post pictures of their worlds
(I would be more than happy to use them on my front page, as long as they look somewhat aesthetically pleasing)
Ask and ye shall receive! From the world that makes use of features offered by the Minecart Mania! mod (which has replaced Autocart in every way that matters, and has also outclassed it), I give you the approach to my main base:
And, from the world I have with the sweetest geography EVER, I give you "Holy crap, that's frickin' awesome:"
I'll post more if I get a neat-enough looking construct or geography going :smile.gif:

Thanks, these look good! I will pick a couple to use in the first post
As for everyone else, you should all post some pics too!
hey, thanks for your amazin texture pack, used it since i first stated playing and never looked bk :smile.gif:
i slight problem, why does redcobble (nether main material) show up as water source blocks when using hd skins? is there anyway to fix it? as i have to drop to mixcraft basic when i want to go to nether etc (as doesnt look as good obv)
psst - if you use simg tags instead of img tags, it shrinks the pic down so you can see the whole thing, and then links it to the full-size image as well. :wink.gif:
well.. my world is almost 19Mb so im sure i can find something... also about the nether, i was in it yesterday and it seems to have some issues.... i apparantly dub up several blocks of water... lol... and with the speed of which i dug it up, i think it may have been dirt? the fires, and the lava seem to be working okay though..., it was my first time there though so im not positive what it was supposed to look like

Don't worry thats the netherstone. there is a bug if you use this pack sometimes you get it looking like water.

No, it does not "sometimes" look like water, it only looks like water if you dont install the patch
Also it will if you use the Texture Selector Pack instead of the Regular Texture Pack, which you shouldnt
Just install the regular Mixcraft HD into minecraft.jar, then run the patch included in the download
As long as you follow all of the instructions correctly, you will have no water blocks in the nether
Helpfulness... It comes from being a master modder of Spore - and patience too... Y'know the deal, same questions a million times over, with only one or two solutions :smile.gif: I found some interesting underwater scenery... And some epic cliffs, too :smile.gif:
On a side note, has anyone noticed that after the last few updates, the game can generate gravel and sand that's floating... Maybe Notch fiddled with the physics a bit?
Edit:
Here be the pictures!
This 'un shows how unusual some natural landscapes can be... Floatin cliff, anyone?
I've never seen gravel generated on ice before, but I have a feeling it's a bug in the map generation code that created it somewhere above, and caused it to fall after it finished generating.
Seen from this angle, that gaping hole in the mountainside is either the map somehow made and exploded a ton of TNT, or it's warning me about some creepers...
This is probably the biggest tree I've ever seen in Minecraft... I usually burn these after harvesting the trunk, but this one is awesome enough to live...
Mah gravel-bordered lake, and a lone cow...
A couple of photos of a chicken...
Don't see this too often... A stretch of sandy beach separates an icy ocean and grassland...
Daisies (izzat what they are?) and roses...
Probably THE biggest ocean I've ever come across... and this one can be walked across!
Funny what you find (especially since Notch removed "snowy" weather, and ice does not form after map generation) - a lake in the middle of a frozen ocean...
Get the size of this ocean now? This is probably the absolute middle of it.
Dunno how this sort of stuff happens... naturally-created mob-drowner?
Nother one....
More distant view of the icy sea.
A first... this natural mountain quite literally pierces the clouds...
A different angle...
Snowy gravel, anyone?
Ze cow doth wander through ze rose patch.
Trees don't usually grow in this arrangement, but I guess it IS possible...
One of my old saves... A lavafall as a beacon, and a water elevator... (which descends into a glass house)
My wheat plantation, seen from afar.
Nother one of the lavafall and waterfall...
That flame on the ground is actually imported Netherstone, and I think that tree in the background is on fire... (I didn't see any fiery pictures, so I assume the next bunch could be of use)
A couple of paintings...
My lovely quarry, as yet incomplete, seen from the top (There's a ring of netherstone around it to keep the creepers and zombies away :wink.gif:)
A view from the bottom floor of the quarry...
I planted a few trees in the Nether... I think I accidentally misdirected lava in that direction some time ago (they were close-packed, about 20 trees)
Lavafall!!!!!
A view from the very top of a cliff in the Nether.... I think this defies the portal code logic - the bottom of this huge valley probably opens to the Void under Earth.... haven't tried it tho...
Tehe. Lava lamp?
I noticed that there were no pictures of portals, so I got ya one (it's on the inside of my fortress, in case you're wondering...)
Aaaand finally, I figured I might as well go deep-sea exploring... I think this ocean's about 40 blocks deep... I can't get to the surface without half-dieing....
Anyhoo, is that all ya needed? I didn't manage to get any good ones of the hostiles... they move too quickly... And for some reason, there is no Slow Sand within a million miles of my Nether portals... I haven't seen any at all yet.

Yeah, basically just do this ^^^
Download the pack from this topic, then right click it, and select "extract to" ... "Mixcraft v20 Pack"
The "minecraft.jar" archive is where the files get placed into, NOT where they are currently located

Can't wait Vexx! Youre so helpful, I might as well declare you as my official "tech support"
Dont worry, I'm sure you have somthing good! Even if it's just a landscape you found while exploring!
(I need something with snow, and a few pics of each of the mobs would be really helpful too)
(Actually now that I mention it, I also need a good picture of the Nether, something with all 3 blocks)
