Having problems again :sleep.gif:, When a new update comes out and I re-patch the game, it sends me back to an old version of the game...

How do I fix this?

Delete the "version" file that's in your .minecraft/bin folder, and run Minecraft. It will update. Close minecraft and try it again.

Thats great and all with getting the lastest version but when I patch the game with the new texture pack it reverts back to version 1.2.3_04 :sad.gif:

Hey, i downloaded the MixcraftHD texture pack but instead of installing it the way instructed I put the zip into the texture pack folder so that I could turn it on or off (I enjoy the pack very much by the way).
The only problem is I can't figure out how to use the patcher with this kind of install... Is there a way? if so what do i put in the "original" "output" and "texture pack" fields in the updater?

There is no way that would work. Sorry. However... when installing it normally, you can avoid the rigmarole of opening up the minecraft.jar archive and throwing files in, if you put a path to the zipfile that contains MixCraft in the "texture Pack" field... it'll install it automatically. :biggrin.gif:

I'll keep a close eye on mcpatcher's update progress, hopefully there'll be a new update soon!

Thats a shame, I want to have the option of switching back to normal minecraft or other texture packs... But I also want animated lava when using this texture pack ><

I think something changed with the cloud-drawing code in one of Notch's recent updates; the clouds (yes, I keep them in - craziness, I know) suddenly look *awful* in-game, even though the image in the mixcraft .zips hasn't changed as far as I can tell.

Anyone else notice this?

Yep. They were changed to look like "real" clouds. They match it as closely as possible, but the way Minecraft renders clouds is stretching an already huge image (i think it's 512x512) so that only a 32x32 portion is actually visible in the sky at all times, and if you have "fancy" graphics on, then it does look rather ugly. If you turn "fancy" off, they look much better... they now haz cloud swirls and instead of blank white, they go from white to deep gray.

The v19 update fixed the black screen issue but there has been another minecraft update (2/12/10) which, when used with the Hd pack, returns the dreaded black screen! I don't know what to doooo...

I'm going to change the clouds back to the old ones, I don't really like the "real" clouds

Hi I'm new to mixcraft. I got it working and its the best. Haven't seen custom lava or water yet but they must be good if everyone wants them back.
I was wondering if I'm seeing things but is there a line or smudge on the right side of the crosshair. well I know I'm not seeing things...yet...I was wondering how to get rid of it.
Can I edit the cross hair image or something.

I just checked, there's nothing wrong with the crosshair...

Are you sure you dont have a smudge on your computer screen or something?

i've been messing around with the guns and ammo alternatives and i noticed that only the plasma cannon has an hd gui. can u make a hd gui for the rest of the addons please? [>>-i>]

I just checked, there's nothing wrong with the crosshair...

There is a little glitch on the right side of the crosshair, I have it as well. Well, not anymore because I can't run your texture pack without it sending me back to an old version of the game :sleep.gif: Can you PLEASE help me?

I'm using my 40" LCD as a monitor. Maybe I'm seeing too much for my own good. Also the anomaly moves with the crosshair.
Tylerthe41 did you ever figure out a way of removing the glitch?

I'll post a pic. Its far from being any kind of big deal but my eye is drawn to it constantly, so I wish it wasn't there.

Here's pics. Not sure how noticeable it will be for you. I made it bigger in a couple of shots.



It looks to be two separate bands of color to the right of the cross hair. They are vertical bands one on top of the other.


The bands are two different colors. The top one is a purple-brown color, the bottom is a shade of gray.
Its more noticeable in person when you move.

Koolwitak is there any way I can change this? Any ideas what might cause it?

Also, Koolwitak, I think the new clouds have potential. Can you make the game render them smaller, so they aren't so pixellated? Would using a larger image work at all?

Btw, even if the color looks ugly, the new cloud formations are excellent... perhaps just make it all white?

Also, Koolwitak... even if the built-in water and lava animations aren't functioning as they should, if you have time, you can create separate files that the patcher will automatically tell the game to use in order to animate the water and lava textures. Check through the thread (link above) and look on the bit about custom_*.png files.

However, I have found a leetle problem with the Jack-O-Lantern. On one side, one of the corners has a quarter square of lava (don't really know how else to explain it), and then on another side it has a corner of water. Now, I don't know if this happened because I put the pack in manually or not, and whenever I use the patcher I get the the Minecraft Black Screen of Death, and I guess I really don't know. Anything you can do to help?
