I am following the unistal instructions because i have same problem as an above poster (screen going black :sad.gif:) but i can't delete bin because of these files jinput.jar, lwjgl.jar, lwjgl.util.jar, and minecraft.jar it says they are open in java.exe i have nothing else open when trying to so what do i do?
Press ctrl+alt+del to open the task manager
Go to the "processes" tab and look for "java" or "javaw"
Nah, a lighter's just too high-tech for minecraft. Maybe a tinderbox? They have flint and steel in them, but it's a little box instead of a strange floaty bit in mid-air.
EDIT:
Also, shouldn't Obsidian be made a tad transparent? I mean, obsidian is supposed to be black volcanic glass, and the slight purple tint is only created (in real life) when light shines through. Shouldn't we have an Obsidian that is partially transparent? Not to the degree water or glass is, of course, but translucent at the very least.
Oh, and btw, I have half succeeded in creating new water and lava textures based on yours that make it look like it flows better. I am considering stretching them in all four directions so that they appear to flow quickly, rather than a sluggish waterfall... still, my tiling experiment was an absolute success, although the HD texture patch seems to only allow the textures to "flow", but they are still inanimate. I can show you my edited terrain.png file if you want, and perhaps some screenies when I've finished attempting a translucent obsidian texture...
I'm not gonna pressure you to use any of this, I'm just seeing how my ideas would look if you did, and I can always edit your stuff again later if you don't add it. Just for myself, though.
I have fianaly got this texture pack working (verry good work fellas) but i have come across one more minor error that i cannot fix.
the gold block (i think this is the case for some other smelted blocks too) is only showing the fancy detailed side, there is no brick sides to it (like in the terrain pic). As you can imagin this makes it hard to build a good looking structure.
If anyone has a fix for this problem, i would be greatly apreciative.

Unfortunately I don't think Obsidian handles transparency, similar to the glass texture, which can only have either solid space or empty space, which is why the streaks in it are solid white instead of faded white

Yeah that would be great, send them to me over a PM
I actually already made a lava texture that looks a little better and brighter than the current one

I know this is a problem, and it actually has to do with the HD Texture Patcher
I was thinking about changing the block so all sides have gold bricks, but until Xau updates his patcher to fix the solid ore blocks, they are all going to have the same textures on every side, nothing I can do about it
I think the half block you use is awesome. It's one of the details from that fountain shot that drew me into the texture pack. However, some people from our mc server think it's too blue and would prefer a more stone like half block. You could get away with it either way, but most people don't have the wisdom to tweak their own .png's so not everybody has access to the optional block.
Either way, i'll be using your blueish half block for the rest of my minecrafting days regardless so thanks! ;D

I'm going to change the half block for Version 19, and if people really have a problem with it, then I will go back
As for you, here is a (leaked) terrain file from Version 19, except with the original half-block
Just right click it, save as, and use this image instead of the one that comes with the pack
Hmmm, nice :smile.gif:
I'll send you my modified terrain.png now (you were right about Obsidian, btw... silly coding.) - i changed both water and lava textures a bit. Oh, and since I love the biomes so much, I grayscaled and lightened the grass texture, and copied the grasscolor.png from the standard minecraft textures so it'd work right... After a long time travelling by sea in Minecraft, stopping often to admire the grass, I personally don't mind too much that the grass on the sides of the block is a slightly different color to the top, it looks OK. anyhoo, be on the look out for that file.
Do it this way:
First, remove your minecraft.jar and get it to auto-update and get the newest one, just to be sure you have the latest, then find the MixCraft HD folder and put all the files in it inside a zipfile. Then open the latest version of the patcher, and leave everything as is, all checkboxes should be ticked, etc. Except for the "texture pack" option. Hit Browse beside the texture pack option and find that zipfile I told you to make. The patcher should automatically change the 16x16 to 32x32. Then ensure that all checkboxes are ticked and press patch. Run minecraft.
It work perfectly for me using this method, so I hope it works for you.
Hey...so I installed Mixcraft by replacing the files in the .jar file, and did everything that the instructions said. So I go to play the game. It goes to the login screen. I then proceed to login and as soon as I click the login button, I get an immediate black screen. Any ideas on what went wrong. Please help.
I have the same problem
i believe the source of the problem has to do with the following ERROR
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: nz.<init>(II)V
at no.<clinit>(SourceFile:136)
at oc.<init>(SourceFile:14)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.<init>(SourceFile:138)

at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(SourceFile:1450)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.a(SourceFile:1428)
at net.minecraft.client.Minecraft.main(SourceFile:1496)
I believe this is the cause of the blackscreen but I have no idea how to fix this can someone help us?
Help please!!! I copied the better version of Mixcraft (the non-pack one) and I ran the patcher with correct settings. When I run Minecraft, after I click the login button, I get a black screen.
First, follow the "How to Uninstall" instructions
Then copy the files again and make sure to un-check "custom water" and "custom lava" before patching it
Note to self read the thread more carefully.... k thx everything is working now
Press ctrl+alt+del to open the task manager
Go to the "processes" tab and look for "java" or "javaw"
Right click them and select "end process"
Then try deleting the bin folder again
Should the flint and steel texture be changed to a lighter?
I personally think it looks a little awkward, especially because the steel is floating in mid-air when you hold it
A lighter would be look better and be much simpler

Like one of these?
Lacking a distilled fuel source sorta makes the zippo/bic lighters look funny to me in minecraft.

I don't see where Koolwitak linked for that version of the patch.
