I was wondering if you are going to have a version of this that utilizes the new "Mods and Texture Packs" button in Minecraft, so that I do not have to change the .jar file.
I do, if you extract the zip file and open the folder, you will see TWO texture pack folders
The one named "Texture Selector Packs" is the one for that button, also make sure to read the instructions

It might be but it does this every time I download this from Media fire. I have seen pop ups try to appear but failed to before I think it's Norton killing the browser windows and putting a firewall on the download as well. I got the files from my other PC so I got it it just took some work arounds and extra time.
Like I said before, I added a rapidshare download link just below the mediafire one, use that instead

Thanks for the info, would be helpful if you mentioned it on the front page or in the instructions, since the default texture size is 16x16 when you use the MC Patcher for the first time.
Alright, I will make sure to edit my original post
Hey Koolwitak, i really love your pack but i noticed that the grass texture isnt in grayscale, is there any problem with it?
I would love to be able to tell differences between biomes
You can still tell the difference between biomes
Obviously the snow biomes have snow and desert biomes have sand, but the trees change color too
The problem with the grass is that the grass on the side of the block can't change color,
so then it looks weird if the top of the grass changes but the side stays the same
with Bettergrass working, changing the sides of the grass to dirt only (maybe a pixel of two of grass to identify surface grass in a tunnel if you actually use it that way) is a good compromise. I do so love the taiga grass colour :smile.gif:

Yeah, but that only helps if you actually have bettergrass
I don't want to change the texture based on a mod that not everyone has
is there a way to either get the alternative paintings in the non hd pack? orrrr use the regular fire, water, brick, and gold blocks in the hd one? i cant play minecraft on the downloaded client and the hp patch will not work if you play in browser :c

Yes it will, Minecraft stores the same fles on your computer regardless of wether you have the downloaded client or play on the browser.
Just look harder. I would help you, but I'm on a mac, and therefore pretty useless on helping most people find files.
(If you're on a mac too the path is /username/Library/Application Support/minecraft/bin)

Doesn't work for me.
When I start up minecraft I just get a black screen.
That'll happen sometimes, just delete the bin file, redownload it, and try again.
If you want to troubleshoot can't help you, all I know is that that occasionally happens to me, and that trying again usually works.

Wont expect you to change the texture just for a few people, I was only suggesting the temporary solution for whom ever was listening :wink.gif: I have already changed your texture to do it that way (My girlfriend loves your texture :smile.gif: , I use a compilation of yours and about another 5 or 6 packs to get my Minecraft to look like I want it haha)

Can't believe I missed that, thanks for the heads up :smile.gif: Plus I have to say.. Loving the texture collection

I am also getting a black screen after logging in... The texture pack was working until there was an update for me this morning. I tried to redo the process but haven't been able to get the 'replacing files in the .bin folder' way working.
For the first time EVER I'm getting a black screen too...
Can other people confirm this happens for everyone?
If your game DOES NOT stay at the black screen after installing Mixcraft HD from the Regular Texture Pack,
please post here, and I will continue to see if I can fix this problem once I have more information

Well I guess technically now its true since I edited it...
EDIT: uh... nevermind after I installed the patch my game crashes whenever i go onto it... any suggestions? =/
DOUBLE EDIT: okay i was having problems because i didnt use the patcher on the texture pack but the .jar... *feels stupid*
thanks for ur help anyway =]
That's most likely another problem with the recent update, I'm not sure how to fix that
Maybe try just not installing the patch if you want to play online...?
BTW Now with the new update re-skinning Minecraft is simple.
