Hi there! First i have to thank all the creators of these wonderful textures and the guy who put them all together in to mixcraft :smile.gif:
Now i have a problem: i have downloaded and installed the latest mixcraft HD pack (v18) following all instructions and patching it sucessfully, but i STILL do not have a working compass and watch :sad.gif: the watch just shows a pinkish color while the compass doesn't move at all. Any ideas on what I should do about that? I'm using the latest Minecraft - 1.2.2 btw. I'll return to read the replies soon, bye & thx!

Did you make sure to install the Regular Texture Pack and not the Texture Selector Pack?
The patch is only made for the Regular Texture Packs, and only fixes those packs

Mediafire is ad whoring. Every popup possible EXCEPT the actual download appears when I click "Click this nignog to start downloading.".
Right click the "click here to start downoad", then select "save target as", and save it to your computer

Hey.
First off thanks a lot for this awesome texture pack.
Just wondering one thing. Is it possible to get a optional texture for half steps? As it is now they kind of feel a bit to tiled. Almost like something that would be in a bathroom. And that makes it hard to use them for other things then floor. =)
Thanks for your great work. =)
There is an alternate half-step texture in the "terrain.png" file
You have to use a program like Paint.NET or Gimp to copy and paste the alternate into the right spot
I downloaded it then patched it....
But now everytime i try to start up minecraft,
it says updating minecraft and never fully loads,
I tried unstalling and installing it but it says minecraft.jar is missing from archive, i try to repair it and it says it once again.
Please help.

Try deleting the .minecraft\bin\version file and start up Minecraft again. It should assume that you have an outdated version and download the new jar. From there try the process over again, but slower and confirming you've done what the instructions said to do at each step :smile.gif:
Also, keep a backup of that new jar before you "install" the new textures or do the patching.

First of all, I love this pack. For the most part, it looks fantastic. Especially the wood, which is what convinced me to use this pack in the first place, and the flowing water, now that I've seen it. What I don't love, however, is that the grass, stone, and leaves seem a bit too...tiled to me >_o Maybe I'm just being finicky. They're the only three materials I've seen that seem to have that problem, though.

I downloaded on my old laptop which has no anti virus and no use to it at all and zipped and sent over the network and
Norton accepted the file that way but Media fire seems to like attacking my computer. And the Rapidshare mirror
I suggest getting a different anti-virus.
Avast is a good one, especially the free version.
Other than that, I can only say that if there was some way of letting Norton ignore mediafire, go for it. The majority of this forum wouldn't use mediafire for uploading their minecraft stuff if it wanted to get into your computer.

Media fire is full of viruses though and i'd rather use rapid share or my own private ftp server.

If it is full of viruses, why do almost the entire minecraft community upload their files there to share with other people on the minecraft community? I have a feeling the intrusion that Norton is detecting is a pop-up ad, though I don't know much about Norton.

I was wondering if you are going to have a version of this that utilizes the new "Mods and Texture Packs" button in Minecraft, so that I do not have to change the .jar file.

It might be but it does this every time I download this from Media fire. I have seen pop ups try to appear but failed to before I think it's Norton killing the browser windows and putting a firewall on the download as well. I got the files from my other PC so I got it it just took some work arounds and extra time.

It's actually 32x32, it just LOOKS super high-definition :wink.gif:
Thanks to BBcode being temporarily disabled, my entire front page is now ruined...
On the bright side, I added a rapidshare mirror for those who are having trouble with mediafire
Hopefully BBcode will be fixed soon!
