So, decided to load up Mixcraft HD the new way and ended up with this:
All red hellblocks are now flowing water lol. Doesn't really affect me too much, but I did find it interesting/funny.
HD packs don't work with the new way...
WAIT! Here are a few things I have discovered that might help you guys install the pack:
1) Installing textures the old way works
2) Installing the HD Texture Patch works if you ONLY check off animated water, lava, and fire
(Un-check custom water, custom lava, and better grass)
3) The "char" file now goes in the "mobs" folder
4) A new "environment" folder has been made for clouds, rain, and snow
Tried that and I crash right at the logo before I get to the menu.
very nice m8, just the hellstone (or what ever its called) that burns for ever, looks like running watter.....but acts the same.....so you might want to do something to correct that
He means your texture of the cobble. Which, in one way, is an alternate to the default.
I also was waiting.. Shame I had to replace the items.png and terrain.png from the v16 SD..
My computer just plain lags horrible since the Halloween Update

Any texture pack above 16x16 has screwed up bricks, pumpkins, hell bricks, compasses, watches, etc... Some issues have been fixed with xau's patcher for HD textures, (included in the download, the file that tells you to run it if you use HD.) but it was broken in the previous update, and it doesn't fix all of problems since the Halloween update.
ok thanks ill can live with it as long as it still works and just is a texture glitch.....still think notch should support HD graphics....that would make this game 10 times better.
Yeah. I love the pixelated look of 16x16, but 32x32 textures also look pixelated, while having quite a bit more room to add details. The unabashedly pixelated look and blocky world are what got me interested in the game in the first place.
I also edited the terrain file so that the side-grass matches the top grass a little better
And I added the icon and description for the pack when viewed in the pack selector

I might have just gotten lucky, try unchecking ALL the boxes
This will only fix the nether blocks, but I think that's still worth the trouble
(Keep in mind, this only works if you are installing the pack the old way)

You DO NOT extract the zip file after downloading it!
ALL you need to do is download it and then drag the whole zip file directly into the folder

If you didn't read what is happening with the new update is that the Nether is now Atlantis so thats why the hell blocks are water.
But what about my bricks and pumpkins

I released a temporary download of JUST the zip file for the new texture selector
EDIT: Wow! How the hell did my temporary fix get over 1000 downloads in only 3 hours?!
Because it's awesome.
