One suggestion I have is to make it so the leaves have transparent holes in them, so you can somewhat see through trees, and be able to see if there's still blocks of wood left in the middle of giant trees before you torch them or move on to find another tree to chop down. It's something that I saw in another texture pack that I thought was extremely helpful.

All texture packs have two versions of the leaves, with holes and without
If you don't have "Fancy" graphics turned on, you will not see any holes
The HD texture patch does not fix watches yet, please wait for xau to release a new version. It is not specific to this texture pack, any texture pack above 16x16 will have that problem.
If it is an issue for you, please use the Mixcraft Original (16x16) pack included in the archive. First apply the HD, then overwrite the HD pack with the Original pack.
It's to save space in the zip. I'd rather all shared files be put into a separate folder that says install this no matter which option you choose, or that all shared files be put into all versions of the skin.
Basically, install the HD, then install the regular over it. If you're on OS X, the Finder will not merge folders, only replace them, so you'll have to manually merge them. Explorer, Nautilus, and Dolphin all get it right, and I expect you know what you're doing if you use something else.
The quick instructions for installation into the new version of minecraft:
Download the zip. Extract to a folder. Open folder, goto Mixcraft HD (main pack), goto Mixcraft HD, select all (ctrl-a), right click, add to zip (or add to archive if you use winrar, use zip format), click zip and copy, open minecraft, goto the textures and mods button and open folder (or manually nav to your .minecraft folder and find it), paste it into the texturepacks directory. restart minecraft to be safe, click the textures and mods button, click the pack, done, and click single/multi/etc.

People having trouble with inserting the pack into the game the new way. Try this:
-Go to your .minecraft folder
-Open texture pack folder and delete any Mixcraft packs in there.
-Go back and then to bin, delete version file(just in case)
-Load minecraft, it should redownload some stuff(now it should be reset to normal)
-Go to the front page of the thread and download version 16
-Extract .zip, go inside folder, click on Mixcraft HD(main pack) and then on Mixcraft HD
-Ctrl+a there so everythings selected, right click and send to..Compressed(zip)folder
-It might come up with a char.zip, rename it to Mixcraft HD or whatever
-Copy past .zip into your texture packs folder in .minecraft
-Load up minecraft, select texture pack
-Exit minecraft, reload and select a World
Hopefully it works for you guys, as it did for me. Sorry it's a bit extended, but this is exactly how I made it work.
Sounds good, thanks! So what's the word? Can we load HD textures just like before, and just put up with the glitches until we can patch them, or are there new problems?
So, decided to load up Mixcraft HD the new way and ended up with this:
All red hellblocks are now flowing water lol. Doesn't really affect me too much, but I did find it interesting/funny.
HD packs don't work with the new way...
Quote from Koolwitak »
Apparently his texture pack "support" does not fix the glitches with HD texture packs...
For this reason, I am only going to make the 16x16 version of Mixcraft compatible with it
If you want to use Mixcraft HD, you are going to have to do it the old fashioned way

WAIT! Here are a few things I have discovered that might help you guys install the pack:
1) Installing textures the old way works
2) Installing the HD Texture Patch works if you ONLY check off animated water, lava, and fire
(Un-check custom water, custom lava, and better grass)
3) The "char" file now goes in the "mobs" folder
4) A new "environment" folder has been made for clouds, rain, and snow
I do stuff.
I get gray grass from your HD misc folder. I linked the culprits to the foilagecolor.png and grasscolor.png
When I remove the said files, my grass returns to normal. Any idea what's going on with the files?
Probably because you aren't even using my pack...
The grass is the picture above is definately not mine

I just posted a temporary fix for the recent update, including a compatible zip file for the new pack selector
Just download it, and move it directly into the "texturepacks" folder in the ".minecraft" folder
(DO NOT exctract the files from the zip file, ALL you need to do is drag and drop the zip)
