1. Extract all HD Mixcraft files into minecraft.jar
2. Extract Mixcraft Original files, the gui folder only
3. Run patcher
-The only things i changed were custom water/lava to untick, the rest were default
-Original: minecraft.original.jar Output: minecraft.jar
-Texture Pack was left unchecked and grayed out (although it pointed towards minecraft.original.jar
-Tilesize 32x32
I believe I did everything right and all the block so far looks as they should (although i haven't visited the Nether yet). But for some reason the moon and the sun remain in their default and the monsters look the same (not sure if monsters are supposed to look the same)

This is where I'm having the problems. I run the .jar file with the Jar launcher in OSX but nothing happens.

Don't open it with Jar Launcher, open it with Java (also called "Java Platform SE binary")
This texture pack is great, but I do have 1 problem with it. When making say, a floor, with the wooden planks, you can tell which block is which because one side is shaded darker than the other side. If possible, could you fix this problem so that all of the blocks blend in with eachother. If so I'd really appreciate it! And again, this is my absolute favorite texture pack! Keep up the good work!

I can make it look a bit better, but fixing that completely might take a little while
I think he's saying it resembles that. Anyway, I copied your netherstone block into my own texture mix, but I increased the red level. It was a little too dark for my taste. The glowstone change from v.15 to v.16 looks good. Screen of altered Netherstone. I just adjusted the red level to .75 in Paint.Net.

Hmm... maybe I could add a bit more red to the netherstone...
I kind of liked the dark brown color with the red veins though, especially for building

Having the same problem here, and I can't seem to find the Java Platform SE Binary. So...yeah...
How exactly do I run it with the Java Platform SE Binary? I searched for that in Spotlight but I can't find ANYTHING with that name. Some more detailed instructions on how to run it with that would be helpful, or some instructions on how to run it using Terminal.

It's the same program used to open Minecraft, it has to be on your computer...
For the Mac people having problems, it looks like it happens on certain versions of OSX. Xau's patcher is compiled in Java 1.6, which requires version 1.6 to run. Some versions of OSX only support version 1.5, and until Xau recompiles it (which he is planning to), you may be out of luck.

How do you know Xau is planning on recompiling it?

Am i missing something?

Hopefully... I wouldn't want the update to somehow make it so I have to remake my pack or something...
On another note, you guys need to tell me what I need to improve!!
The only way I can make this pack better is if I know HOW to make it better

It looks kind of odd having the default GUI in those two interfaces.
I do stuff.

I use JAR Launcher and it works fine, it takes about three seconds to launch, and then I'm greeted by this:
EDIT: Java does have a way to launch a .jar from bash.
I do stuff.
The Quick Fix!
Click the creeper!
Someone else said this a while ago, I will look into it as soon as I get home

Thanks! Now I can have moving water/lava! :biggrin.gif:
