But you know, all you have to do is install the HD Texture Patch to fix the water and lava for Mixcraft HD
I included it in the download (In the Mixcraft HD folder)
When you start it, just UNcheck "custom water" and "custom lava" and then click the "Patch" button
EDIT: Make sure you copy the Mixcraft HD terrain file BEFORE running the patch
I like to keep the textures in a folder with the executable, so I can have a launcher for each pack. If I like this one enough I'll edit the jar, but until then, from what I read, the HD Texture Patch won't work for me.
Oh well in that case you can always just use the regular Mixcraft
It uses the same resolution as the original, but it looks better and more realistic
AND its completely glitch-free (one of the benefits of working with 16x16)
Lol I'm too chill of a person to even care if someone borrowed my work. It is free work after all. I'm now going to go play some dubstep and get back to working on my pack.
Idea for thanksgiving: Turn chickens into turkeys.
Ah, candy cane ladders, and stocking art decorations. =P
Ah I smell Christmas already.
Ah, that makes me want to carol already!
He knows when you are sleeping.
He knows when you're on the can.
He'll hunt you down and blast your ass from here to Pakistan.
Ohh.
You better not breathe, you better not move.
You're better off dead, I'm telling you dude,
Santa Claus is gunning you down.
Okay, fine, no more Futurama for me...
On topic: I've changed my mind, since I'm already modding my .jar quite heavily, I guess I can replace the textures and use the HD ones. Now, if only I could figure out how to run this .zip for the HD patcher on OS X. It comes as a zip for Mac and Linux, and inside the zip are a bunch of classes. I guess I'll unzip it and make a jar out of it? Or I'll go look it up after I post this...
EDIT: It looks like the HD patcher in this texture pack for non Windows platforms is the source zipped up. There's a jar provided in the creator's thread, I downloaded that, so I should be fine. Just wanted to let you know.

Aww crap... it saved as a .zip file instead of a .jar file
Renaming it to "patcher.jar" fixes that, just so you know
2 questions . is it possible to use a 16 x 16 terrain and a 32 x 32 item together ?
secondly, with regards to mixcraft HD, is the armour supposed to have that fuzzy-ish look . like as if it has been scaled up but nothings done to it . here's what i did ... I tried zooming in on the normal pack's items to almost the same size as the HD pack's items and what i noticed is that the armours on the 16 x 16 seems to look exactly the same w/ very small differences unlike the other items e.g. boats, fishing rod etc. Would it be possible for you to make it less ... pixelized ? i.e. make it clearer . thanks (:

1) Yes, it is possible
2) I know, they both have the same armor, I haven't made any HD armor yet

Oh, cool.
So I got HD in the jar, with all the mods I downloaded today, patched it for water and lava and fire, and loaded it up. I love this texture pack. Not a single block I disagree with yet. Except the iron, as stated previously, but it's being worked on, and I won't see it often anyway.
I think that you should make the glass border less ugly(make it semi-transparent and lighter) and make the grass better to tile - it's easy to pick out individual tiles of grass.

Every time that someone on the support forums doesn't say anything after I tell them a possible solution, I assume that they are having too much fun enjoying their fixed Minecraft to reply.
I think that you should make the glass border less ugly(make it semi-transparent ...)
I don't think you can make anything other than water and ice semi-transparent. I have tried, and look at the result:
Those white bands there over the glass? Look at my terrain.png:
They were at 50% opacity, just like the inner frame. Looks like Minecraft decides that anything that isn't 100% transparent must be 100% opaque (except water and ice). Please tell me if there is another way to do this, as I would like to have semi-transparent/tinted windows.
Awesome. Very easy program to use, makes me sad thinking back on how much time ive wasted using ms paint.... New plasma gun looks Pimp. :] now i just have to fix the ammo, very tough to see :tongue.gif:
Great job on the texture pack btw, looks incredible.
Actually... I could just make an HD plasma rifle for the HD items file if you want
I will make sure to include that in the next version!
That would probably be better, odds are definitely good that your plasma rifle would be a million times better :tongue.gif:
I was wondering if its possible to edit the sound... i'd prefer a pew noise to the current 'arrow' noise :]
Along with this i was also thinking perhaps one could make the bolt act like a chunk of C4 activating upon impact and detonating with a scaled down explosion of TNT. If this could be done.... 'twould be EPIC.

It's possible, but the sound would just revert back to the original every time you start the game
Although I think there was some sort of mod that fixed this...
Also I have no idea where I would find a sound that fits the plasma rifle

That would be epic, but unfortunately I'm not much of a mod maker
If you try using the explosive arrows from the Elemental Arrows mod along with
my plasma rifle texture, it might do the trick ---> viewtopic.php?f=25&t=47148
Are you gonna make an hd hell block for the hd textures when notch releases the update?
I guess you could just keep his block but it woulndt fit with the other hd textures

I WOULD turn chickens into turkeys, but apparently people just
want me to skip Thanksgiving and go right into Christmas
Ah I smell Christmas already.
Thank you (:

No rush?!? If I don't make this armor... then who will?!?
That's just it.. there's no one.. its up to ME to CREATE THIS ARMOR!!
*scribbles furiously in notebook*
Sounds easy enough, I was thinking about changing the glass border anyway
Ugh but that takes actual work! (joking)
I will make sure to work on the grass

For being so active,
You deserve a creeper sand wich. (no pun intended ! (:smile.gif:

I don't get it... OHHHHH cause it's made out of SAND
Everything makes sense now! lol
