i know that the texture has been applied since the logo says mixcraft instead of minecraft.
How did you get the logo to say Mixcraft instead of Minecraft?
I know I changed the gui file to say Mixcraft, but even when I replace it with that one, it still says Minecraft
Well, it's not the logo on the actual main screen, after i logged in it displayed an error, and above the error box was where it said mixcraft instead of minecraft... Probably the only place the little .png file is used...
I think the main menu still says minecraft because if you look closly when you log in, the bricks fly in and assemble into the words, and i suppose that means that it's harder to mod to a different word.

EDIT:I think I sorted it out, will post again if it turns out I havent :smile.gif:
I just copied TWO files (items.png and terrain.png) into minecraft.jar (without any isntaller or anything) and now everything looks pretty HD
but the problem is, there are some wierd textures around stuff I hold
here and example:
(EDIT: hmm, its completely invisible on the screenshot, wierd BUT in the game there are some half transparent areas on the stuff I hold, and the transparent areas change when I walk but they remain still when I do not move etc.)
I read that lava might also look wierd
ALSO; when I used the installer thing, it turned the terrain.png files into files with really large dimensions (above 2000x2000)
Hey Koolwitak, here's at least one idea. I've been working on my personal texture pack again since more 32x's have come out. Thanks to Emporer and his pack, (and some simple cut & paste with GIMP), I now have my own kickass custom torch. You should check it out here: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=56075 .
I really don't care if this is advertising or not, I just can't over how cool all the stuff you can do with MineCraft is.
Another idea, thanks to the John Smith pack, creepers, zombies, and skelletons are now scary as all hell, but spiders and slimes aren't, getting them to be just as scary or even more so is yet another idea.
Well I think thats enough rambling for now, lets see what others have to say.

I kind of like the look of my torch, at least for the moment...
I already have the zombies and skeletons from that pack, but I will add the creeper as an alternate
Well I didn't mean you had to use it, I was just hoping it would be inspirational. <_< (will be watching closely to see if you can make the spider just as scary) >_>

the "invisible" texture...i know what your looking at. it looks as if the objects outline sort of pops out from the object. this is actually a guide, like a selector for the object you are about to possibly interact with. if you use fences, you will have the same cubic outline. just a game thing. no worries, everything is normal
I just downloaded this texture pack and I really love it. Especially the gold and iron blocks. But I have to say there are 2 objects that are better in the 'quandary texture pack''. The first one is the side of a grass block which I think looks better in the 'quandary pack' because it has a little drop shadow underneath the line of grass to give it a little bit more depth. And second is the iron door which is just the same as the wooden door in your pack (only silver). I would suggest to give it a 'stronger' look maybe. But overall your pack is awesome!
Thanks for the texture pack, I'm sure it took a lot of work, not just to make the textures you made, but also to find and collaborate the others to look good. I'm downloading it now, thanks for all your hard work

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too...
No, any version works, but the most recent version is always the best looking and has the most options
Which sand do you like better?
Old Octoberfest Grass
New Octoberfest Grass
is the hd texture pack only the 238kb part?
(I think it lags a bit now???)
oh I also used the 1.1.6 version (246kb)
and ores look VERY blurry

I wanted to reserve it for Version 12
Edit: It will now be first on the next page

I will see what I can do :wink.gif:
ooooooooo scarier spiders would be awesome
A different, in general, brick block.
and a better tree trunk block. (They are mucho terribad.)
Like more red colored?
Got any pictures as examples?
Whats wrong with the tree trunk?
Well I think I`m going to make an alternate brick anyway
One that looks less perfect and more realistic
