I´ve only one wish: According to the new Snow-Golem, your pumpkin needs back its face also without the torch. But If you don´t like this, I can do it by myself. Don´t matter.

Doubtful. Kool's not a modder, as far as I know. That'd require editing the game code itself.
They were changed to have a pumpkin for a head. You make them like this:
Where: is a pumpkin are snow blocks
You just stack the blocks on the ground and it becomes a snowman.

I just don't understand why notch wants WILD pumpkins to have faces...
Especially if you grow them yourself, it just looks completely messed up.
Ah, I see. It says on the wiki that the pumpkin is like a mask or helmet. It has a head that is underneath the pumpkin. I guess the rest of the texture is snow golem only, but the head is taken directly from the pumpkin texture.

Hey Kool would you mind doing a small project for me, shouldn't take you too much time.
I'm hoping you could make me some furnace textures (Iron furnace and gold furnace), are the only ones needed for now, I was hoping for something more than just pasting the furnace holes on top of the gold and iron textures but if thats all you can/want to do I wouldn't mind.

Just released a test update for the Beta 1.9 Pre-release. Everything should work properly. I put in my current version of the new glowstone so you can see my progress, but it is still not done yet. I also had to change the red mushrooms to a single red mushroom, so they don't hang off of the top of Mooshrooms anymore.
Please try out the pack and post here if you see ANYTHING that needs changing.
NOTE: Some textures are just being used as placeholders and are NOT the final textures! I'm saying this because I borrowed a few things from the faithful 32x32 upscale of the default textures, because they're almost identical to the default and it just makes my life a little easier until I create my own versions.

Yeah. That is exactly it. The snow golems use the texture of snow blocks for their body and pumpkins for heads...
So did Notch change the mob or are there both snowmen and snow golems?

Wait... they don't? Then where do they get their buttons and arms from?
EDIT: I can tell the arms are the sticks, but that still doesn't explain the buttons.
In the Mob folder there is a snowman, no snow golem though o.o

- You may want to think about changing glowstone powder to have a bit more orange or something, according to the new glowstone texture...
