Good idea, I'm going to edit the original post and state which textures are mine
as well as give credit to every other texture pack I used
I jumped on Painterly Pack only because of how amazing it was
and because I just happen to have refreshed the page when it was posted
As for giving him time, I have no doubt Painterly Pack will be well praised
Although, just to be fair, I will wait a while before updating mine, like you suggested
painterly pack is good... but not this awesome pack. :laugh.gif: :laugh.gif: :wink.gif: :wink.gif: :smile.gif: :smile.gif: :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif: your pack is AWESOME
With texture packs, theres not a single mod incompatible with them, you just need to use the mcpatcher included in the Mixcraft HD download. Next time be sure to read every bit of information if installing something new. :wink.gif:
Edit: Make sure you patch your minecraft.jar first and then install your mods.
I did that. I tried both of the things you mentioned. If I use the patcher after the mods are installed it just gives me a pop-up on how it wont work then lists reasons. So like you said I installed the texture with the patcher then installed the mods and i still get the brick/fire clock ect. glitch...I guess i'll continue to try stuff but i did what you said. If you have any other advice I would love to hear it. I'll try anything!
If blocks are showing up glitchy, you mustn't have read the directions properly. You MUST patch your game using the HD patcher for it to work properly.
This Is Johno From GameGlitchersNZ, We are filming a Minecraft Series At the moment, but we need a good Base Texture
Pack. And I think Mixcraft is Perfect, All we need is to customize it a little for the series.
Can we have permission to change a few Items and some terrain textures to suit the series well?
Send me you're thought's to '[email protected]
You may want to PM Koolwitak directly - he's not as active on these forums as he used to be at the moment and you'll be able to get his attention much faster if you PM him instead.
ya i love this texture pack too the only thing is i think i would like it if the grass blocks were a bit greener. but other than that its great its pretty much all i use i love thx for making it here u go take this.....
To anyone who knows an exceptional amount about the new update, could you please explain each of the new textures and their locations in the terrain and items files? I need to know exactly what I'm working on before I can actually start working on it.

So far what we have been given is the good old terrain.png and items.png, plus, just recently, icons.png. We have also been given the skin of the endermen and been told that the new blue spiders have the same skin but it is slightly blue.
terrain.png is located in the main folder, items.png is located in the gui folder and so is icons.png.
There is also silverfish but they are very rare. Their texture is found already in the mob folder.
Obviously I'm sure you know what terrain.png and items.png do and you can work out what all the added textures are.
The new textures in icons.png included the new poison animation, the new server availability bars, the new hunger bar and subsequent animation, and the new experience bar and subsequent animation.
Hope that helps!
EDIT: Just read you want me to actually explain all the new textures. Within the terrain.png the new textures include new particles down the bottom (I'm not sure what they are...), a new build for a watermelon (Just below the pumpkin and cake), underneath the piston is the texture for the big mushrooms, red and brown accordingly, under that is two textures I'm not sure about, next to that are the vines and various other new foliage, on the left of the dead bush you have stone bricks (can be made by the user, 4 stone blocks in the square shape), next to the trapdoor there appears to be more vines. My best guess onto what those new particles are down the bottom could be are, the new bow particles and the new experience pellets. In items.png you have the new meats, beef, cooked beef, chicken, cooked chicken, zombie flesh, two new types of seeds (pumpkin and watermelon seeds), the new bow animation, and watermelon slices.
- Poisoned Hearts (DONE)
- Connection Status Bars (***)
- Hunger Bar Sections (***)
- Experience Bar (***)
Mob Files:
- Enderman (***)
- Blue Spider (***)
- Silverfish (***)
Please tell me if anything is missing or incorrect
I kind of want to post images of the completed textures, but I don't really think I can trust the other pack makers on this forum to not "borrow" my custom textures as placeholders for their own without asking...
Great job so far Koolwitak! Still loving your work.
The beef and pork look great.
I agree with Miller_the_builder however. So that the stone bricks look more ancient they need to be a bit more slabby rather than a direct copy of the normal bricks (I think that's what you did...)
Zombie meat is interesting. Not sure whether I like it. I just think it might get annoying having a whole bunch of hands in your invent if you go out zombie pillaging...
Spider web is great and the watermelon just makes me want to split it open and eat the inside. Bows look awesome as well. I think that a tail feather might be too much in game play. Just watch the 1.8 trailer to see what it's like in game.
And the iron bars: Nicely done!

Do you think the cooked beef needs to be darker or is it fine as it is now?
I took the alternate "brick cobblestone" and made it look older and more dull looking.
Having tons of zombie meat always gets annoying, being hands just makes it funnier.
I'm still not sure... Fired arrows have feathers on them, so why not these?
The beef is definitely dark enough. Looks like a lovely piece of steak :biggrin.gif:
Looking at it again, the bricks do look quite good. Very sort of run down etc, but if it was like a 3000 year old temple I just feel that slightly bigger bricks might make it more old. Don't bother if you don't want to. They look great as they are now.
Haha, it's going to feel weird EATING hands...
I know what you mean about the feathers. Mae an alternative and then test them when it's released to see whether it works. Cause from the small footage I've seen it looks like you don't even see the back of the arrow while its firing in any case...

Wow, looking awesome. I love the new textures. I do agree with lixivium however with the stone. The ones you've altered look a bit small, bigger might make it look older. I just had one question. I was wondering, Koolwitak, if you know of something i can do. I have some previous posts on like the page before this. I have the brick/fire glitch and I did patch it. When I patch it and unarcive the .jar, the META-INF folder disappears and when i try to install the mods, it acts like it is not deleted. I don't know what to do! Please Help! Thanks!

I'm sure Koolwitak it busy making new textures so I'll quickly answer for him because I've had the same problem before.
Close Minecraft. Delete your bin folder. Re open Minecraft and download all the stuff afresh. Now make sure you have the latest Minecraft Patcher. Run it. Select HD Textures and HD Font, and Better Grass if you want to. Let it run. That should fix it all. Make sure it is fixed before installing the mods.
Now for the mods, you can either use the patch to actually install them, but if you don't know how I'm not going to go into detail here, just look on its forum page. Just install them as each of their instructions say. META-INF should be deleted by the patch (I think.). Really it should all work as all mods are perfectly compatible with texture packs... Sometimes you just need to delete your bin and try again. Good luck!

Koolwitak, nice job on the new textures. I would suggest adding tail feathers to the arrows, personally, but that's just me.
Why don't you try it out and see how it looks?
Also, Koolwitak, I'm surprised you didn't notice this, but... the reason the bow & arrow with the feather looks weird is because the string should be placed behind the tail feathers, not "magically attached to the shaft" as TheMirror said to someone else who did exactly the same thing xD.
Other than that, all looking awesome as always. And I'm glad you switched to the diamond "sword" - I always swapped the saber with the alt sword, because it looked more Minecraft-y. Excellent job :biggrin.gif:
