Is there a possible way of getting just the textures of water and lava from the HD pack? I'm just using the Normal pack, But I want them textures. They're really nice.

Seriously, unless you can say WHY you don't like a pack don't bother posting that you don't like it as it's not helping anyone except perhaps the trolls if it leads to a flame war.

Huh...I hope that the Mac HD Texture Patch is a .jar file so it works with Linux.
You know, Linux exists, people use it, Minecraft works in Linux, so don't make this kind of stuff Windows and Mac only

Do you take requests? If so, I'd love if you incorporated some alternate skins for certain elements.
For example, I'd give my left diamond to have your texture pack with cobblestone blocks that look similar to the cobblestone blocks of painterly. (like bricks, rather than organic stones)
I love this texture pack, most of the items and block textures are just what I was looking for and I love the improved sun with the big sunflare, it makes watching the sunrise from my beach house even more impressive. :smile.gif:
I've just put the modded texture into the jar file and started up Minecraft, and it seems to have done the trick. I now have all the best of Mixcraft HD without having my house look like a toilet. Yay! :smile.gif:
Maybe someone will find this useful if they like the texture pack but want to change one or two of their own things. :smile.gif:
I will put an alternate half-block in the terrain.png files for both Mixcraft and Mixcraft HD

My pack does have two alternate cobblestones
One is more brick-like and one is similar to the original but better looking
You have to use a program such as Paint.net or Gimp to copy and paste the one you want
Just a question of curiosity, the other square of 3x3 blocks to the right of the alternate cobblestone looks, what are those for? Are those additional textures for more funky blocks of iron/gold/diamond? Looks a bit spacy tbh.
Yes, the square of 3x3 is an alternate set of solid ore blocks, the same as the ones in the non-HD version
The other two squares in the middle are alternate glass and ice textures, those ones have no streaks in them

It just so happens that it is currently the only way i can play minecraft, anyway is there anyway you could put an option to choose a name or a skin to choose from? I run my server and it gets rather annoying try to make random names of "Player" admin each time I launch minecraft.

I'm not the maker of the patch, so I don't know much about it
I just installed the mixcraft non-HD pack for alpha and when i try to open minecraft, it freezes for about 10 seconds on the mojang screen, then tells me that minecraft has crashed, and i know that the texture has been applied since the logo says mixcraft instead of minecraft.
How is this uglier than the original?
I highly doubt it was a virus, it was most likely just a pop-up

The plasma rifle and the AK-47 were the two highest voted weapons
From now on, I might choose to have two items files for the weapons:
1) Plasma Rifle as the base weapon with Laser Rifle in the empty space as an alternate
2) AK-47 as the base weapon with Shotgun and Musket in the empty space as alternates

How did you get the logo to say Mixcraft instead of Minecraft?
I know I changed the gui file to say Mixcraft, but even when I replace it with that one, it still says Minecraft
