What graphic card are you using? It looks like a side effect from forcing Anti Aliasing. Just disable AA, unless you're using a newer card, such as an nvidia 400/500 series card. In which case just enable "Antialiasing Transparency" to "8x (Supersample)"
i tried repatching. multiple times. didn't work. i have an nvidia geforce 9400M card and i don't know how to enable antialiasing. im using a mac.
I have a strange strange issue. Everything in the pack works great but my paintings do not. I used the alt ones that are on the page cause I found them lovely with the stary night painting, as that's my fave. Yet in game I get these ugly default paintings instead. I did what I did before with replacing the file and still the other paintings show up, perhaps I have missed something I do not know, please let me know what I can to do to correct this. Thanks you for your time.
I really like this texture pack. I had tried that other realism pack and I just didn't like the look of cobblestone (which is a major part of my map). Also yours is alot easier on the eyes when viewing chests and my inventory. I can immediately tell what im looking at.
Man, this is honestly my favourite texture pack so far. I've tried many, but I always come back to this one. Although I changed the Clayblock, I used the clayblock from misa's, but this is my favourite texture pack.

It may have always been enabled by default. I'm still pretty sure it's AA doing it. I have no idea how you change AA settings on Macs. Try digging around your display settings.
I love the pack so far. The only thing I don't like is the fact that the wools are way too light. Especially 35(13)[Sage]. Do you think it would be possible to create alternative textures for wools?
Well I do have these that came in one of the packs:
I don't know if they're still distributed in the current alternative textures folder, not bothering to check.

but why would anti-aliasing be making X's over saplings and torches and a border around the sand..?
i'll continue trying to figure out how to change anti-aliasing settings anyway

I saw them before already but I didn't like the fact they got out of the "minecraft feel. " It was too unrealistic and I didn't want to put them in because it would make the rest of the pack look funny. The texture of the wool is alright but the colors are just way too off if you ask me. Other then that it's ok.
huh. well maybe it has something to do with the patcher.. i tried some other texture packs and one of them didn't work at all.
i'll try other things and/or just wait for updates to minecraft and the patcher.
EDIT: i just repatched it and unchecked the HD Texure option and the pack works fine... so.. that's a fix i guess
EDIT AGAIN: netherrack looks like a block of flowing water, bricks are 1/4 fire 1/4 water 1/2 brick, jack-o-lanterns have 1/4 fire...
I know this isn't a place for this. But, since crying obsidian was removed I used to LOVE the texture. Could somebody send me the texture so I can put it over normal obsidian?

Well well well, welcome, to my lair, chell, and a potato, huh? Ohhh i'm really scared. So you're the one's who wanna take me down, ahaha, good luck. You're joking, you are joking!? I can't believe my eye! You're kidding me, you've gotta be, why won't you just die!
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or updates on why I can't get the paintings to work? I did everything I did last time before 1.6 and even use the new patcher but still my painting return to default. I really love the other paintings and it was one of the big reasons I enjoy this texture pack. I tried to fix it but ended up having to redo my MC cause well I screwed it up somehow. Anyways I got the texture pack working just fine but still the paintings are default, if anyone can help me that be great. I really want to have the starry night painting back on my wall.
it seems like when I install this pack, or possibly the HD fix, it conflicts with the items from millenaire's village mod. Is there any way to fix this, or do I have to go in and manually edit the .png's?
edit:
For clarity, the other mod adds new items in along with their own art. I am having a problem where after I install the texture pack and HD fixer, the new items are no longer showing up. I am guessing this is because MC is using the new art from the tex pack and not from the mod.
edit2:
Ok, so I found the art for the new items... I just have to somehow either...
1. override the new texture pack and make it look in the gui folder for the mod.
or 2. Make the texture pack recognize the copy+pasted art in its gui folder.
edit3:
Alright, I think the problem was with the HD texture fixer. I installed the absolute newest version WITHOUT the grass fix and now the images are showing up properly.
Dear Koolwitak,
I have been playing Minecraft with using your texture pack since the 1.2 beta. I must say I am impressed by the detail you have put into the texture pack. However I have come to you to ask a question. I notice you changed the look of your cobblestone and the look of your iron sword, I was wondering if when the 1.7 update comes out, would u be able to change the look of the cobblestone and Iron sword to what they were in the 1.3 beta, If you could, I would greatly appreciate that.
Sincerely,
Michael

Open question, but it does.

Because you didn't patch the HD Textures. This is going to get annoying for you. Lines or HD textures. OR mixcraft basic.
yeah i realize it was because i didn't patch it. but when i tried mixcraft basic i also got the lines.
Weird.
