Alright, this "new" grasscolor.png file is CLEARLY not going to come out the way I want it to...

I think there's a thread around here on how to make custom grass biomes. Basically, you make each triangular area the desired color and then throw in a little blur (don't remember if it was radial or gaussian and I don't honestly know which does what) along the edges.
In addition, watch out for that single line of pixels along the long edge of the triangle. For some reason Minecraft seems to reference color from there and spread it over quite large areas. So one rogue pixel on that line which is different than it's neighbor one pixel in, can mean large areas sticking out like a sore thumb with a severe transition that looks drastic.
I ahve been useing this packfor a few months and i love it i tell all my frends about it have them install and they love it to but i didnt mean to delet it but i did so i went and redownloaded becuse i just cant play minecraft without it hehe but when i opened the mc patcher i got a weird message saying "There was an error opening minecraft.jar. This may be becuse:
-You selected the lancher jar and now the minecraft.jar in the bin folder.
-you selected a texture pack and not minecraft.jar.
-the file has allready been patched.
-there was an update that this patcher can not handle.
-there is another conflicting mod applied.
-the jar file is invied or corrupt.
you can re-download the origanal minecraft.jar by useing the force update button in the minecraft lanceher"
i hope someone will be able to help me out i relly hope becuse i love this texture pack and so do all of my frends =) and i need it to be fixed thanks.
The horizontal log would look weird out in the environment. Also, there is already a mod which does that. Unfortunately, I can't find it.
There is also a cobblestone slab already, as well as a sandstone slab and a wood slab. Crafting recipies are not much changed, only difference is the material you make them from.
There was a misunderstanding about the slab question, anyway I realised it's a nonsense request for a couple of reasons so I'll just drop it.
I would still love to see a reskinned Wooden Planks and a specific log (Pine?) that doesn't look weird both vertically and horizontally (with the part unchanged).
I'll seach the mod meanwhile ^^

you didn't use the HD patcher provided and you also failed to read the FAQ in the OP.

Despite some people being too lazy to look for a FAQ, it doesn't mean we abuse them. Remain civil please. We all get angry at times, but try to stay calm. It makes it easier for everyone.
Just wanted to say that AA works! You'll need a newer nvidia card (400/500 series) and then all you'll have to do is enable forced AA in the Control Panel along with Antialiasing Transparency set to 8x (supersample). You will NOT be able to force it on anything older than a 400/500 series card. I can't say what you'll need for ATI. I just tested this myself with a 480.
Wanted to list this here too as Mixcraft just looks fantastic with AA enabled. Like I said, you need a newer 400/500 series nvidia card and then you need to be able to change the Antialiasing Transparency to 8x. This wouldn't work with my older 260, I'd get all sorts of odd graphic glitches such as lines everywhere.
