Hiya, i made this account for forums just to talk with you. I'm having troubles w/ the brick and fire - netherrack and water glitch, i think though it might be due to the patcher ~ when i use the patcher it won't let me check HD Textures. I'm not sure if that will matter though, Here's how i uploaded : 1. Moved the .zip folder to texture packs 2. Went to the HD patcher and tried patching (like i said, it wouldn't let me do the HD textures) 3. Tried playing and found the glitch. Lol! pretty simple download i think but i want it to be fixed! Please help if you can, I love this texture pack and that's why i made this acc, to ask for your help! Thanks!!
If you follow the installation instructions correctly, that should never happen.
Make sure you're using the HD Patcher version 2.0 as most of these errors are due to an outdated patcher.
And be sure to patch a clean install of Minecraft.

I think I am patching my game corrctly, but apparently in 'Mods and Texture Packs', Default is the only pack that shows.
Is there any way I can get Mixcraft to show?
Put the Mixcraft HD or whatever you extracted from Mixcraft v30 in the texturepacks folder in the .minecraft folder.
The new patcher doesn't select one file specifically.
I'd love to look at that house. And the texture pack really compliments it.
That's on Koolwitak's server. I saw it once or twice. I guess you could ask for the world download... it's one floor of a cobblestone tower - I believe the original design was from Minecraft Cribs or something like that, I forget. Kool's got a bunch of buildings on his server that he rebuilt using previous designs and some members' help.

Oh no no, the file already is in the folder.
Make sure you actually unzipped the "Mixcraft v30.zip" file - it contains two different packs. Place the one you want in the texturepacks folder; but keep it in zip format. DO NOT UNZIP the "Mixcraft HD.zip", just place it in the folder.
Hello Koolwitak, I have to say I love this pack. I have just one problem. When I swing the Diamond Sword, there is a small black bar next to it. I'm not sure why it's there. Also, in third person, it's beside my head.
Screens:
And here is my items.png, to see if you can fix it:
Overall, I absolutely love this pack so far.
But I do have a few issues.
First, lava and water do not have a flowing animation. Second, the brick block tends to bug out a lot.
It looks something like this (Look at it like it is one block):
And I think there's a nether portal somewhere in there too...
And then the gold block is similar:
(The goldbar represents what the block would look like.
Any suggestions?

Oh gosh. >.>
This is awkward. I don't have anything to say. <.<
Mixcraft is nice. A lot of people on the server I go to approve of it. I will say one thing though: you do not need to spend 1.3k on Adobe Creative Design Suite. Not sure what you're using right now but, If you buy a Wacom tablet (if you don't have one), I think most come with something like Photoshop Elements. Intuos 4 or Bamboo Pen and Touch + Elements= deal. Elements itself is about $100 from memory. Other alternatives are Gimp and even Sai.
Koolwitak, is there any chance of you upgrading your textures to make them higher then 32x32 mabye 256x256 in the future. I remember reading a while back you saying that it doesnt feel like minecraft having that high of graphics or something but please make it as an alternate texture pack and still keep the original 32x32 :smile.gif:
I know that I and many others would like to try it =D

Run the texture fixer. Use the .jar file found in the download. Then, your game will detect the texture pack and change the resolution to match.
Hey! I wanted to thank you for creating this awesome texture pack. I love how it isn't much different from the original look of Minecraft, but really a lot better.
Another thing I would like is an horizontally oriented log. For example you could rotate by 90° the Pine's lateral skin.
Last thing: is it possible to have a Stone Slab skin that matches the Cobblestone cube around it? *If it's possible*, you should use the lower half of the Cobblestone side, instead of the upper.
Thanks again, bye!
The horizontal log would look weird out in the environment. Also, there is already a mod which does that. Unfortunately, I can't find it.
There is also a cobblestone slab already, as well as a sandstone slab and a wood slab. Crafting recipies are not much changed, only difference is the material you make them from.
Looking forward to it! If you're not already completely discouraged and disgusted with the grasscolor.png just take your time with it. I'm fine with waiting for it.
Your leaves still look good by the way. I was just hopping around some tree tops before posting this.
This version mostly just ties up the loose ends from the last update. I made a few modifications to the tools and weapons, finally completed the entire "slot.png" file, and resolved the issue with the grasscolor.png file. Glimmar and I talked about it and I'm going to use a modified version of his grasscolor for a while.
So just to make things clear: The "grasscolor.png" was originally made by Glimmar, but has been modified slightly to fit Mixcraft and make the grass look better. I have already gotten permission to use it for now.
Oh and the clouds have once again been removed. I realized from playing Minecraft and from the comments that adding them back in was a mistake. Don't worry, you can still find them in the Alternate Textures download!
Version 31 Includes:
- Replaced clouds with no clouds
- Completed HD "slot.png" file
- Fixed stone and iron swords a bit
- Made diamond and gold tools better
- Added border around diamond icon
- Slightly adjusted the color of rain
- Fixed the massive rain splashes!
- Added exe and jar versions of patcher
- Updated installation instructions
There are probably a few other things, but I'm not at my normal computer so I can't check right now.
Please tell me if there are any new problems with Version 31. It should work fine, but I could be wrong.
I just downloaded v31 and looked around a bit. I like the changes to the biome grass colors, but they're still too similar for my taste. I can hardly tell the difference between them.
Everything else looks good though. Coincidentally it started raining when i logged on so i got to see your improvements to the rain and i like them. Keep up the good work Koolwitak!
Just gonna say, I absolutely love this texture pack. I refuse to use any of the others.
However, I do prefer your alternate cobblestone block to the more classic block you use by default. I tried putting that texture over the new one, which worked the last time, however, when I rezipped the folder and placed it in the folder, it is greyed out. Any advice?
Alright, this "new" grasscolor.png file is CLEARLY not going to come out the way I want it to...
!
I think there's a thread around here on how to make custom grass biomes. Basically, you make each triangular area the desired color and then throw in a little blur (don't remember if it was radial or gaussian and I don't honestly know which does what) along the edges.

Just take it from me. You don't need a fancy program for a great picture output. Example: http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k277/sour_lemonade/khezu-1.jpg I did in a completely free, online java program called Paintchat and a tablet.
I know that I and many others would like to try it =D

I'm honestly starting to think my only option is to ask another texture pack creator if I can use theirs...
Either way, Version 31 will still be released in a few hours!
