YOU CAN PLACE SPIDER WEBS?!?
Only with INVEdit - it's finished but not craftable or obtainable yet. I suggest you make sure the web texture exists for this pack. Check the wiki: http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Web

My lava animation still isn't working. What should I do?
Make sure you're patching it.

UPDATE - VERSION 30
This version should have been out a day and a half ago, but unfortunately I was away. The main purpose of this version is to provide support for the Beta 1.5 update. I also prettied-up a lot of the less attractive textures. The old patcher has been replaced with an updated one, and the instructions have been modified for it as well.
Version 30 Includes:
- Updated HD Texture Patcher
- Updated Installation Instructions
- Normal clouds replaced no clouds
- Custom grass colors for biomes
- Custom "pack.png" for Mixcraft HD
- Custom "bz.png" (made by Misa)
- Custom "power.png" armor effect
- Custom booster and detector tracks
- Custom pine/spruce and birch saplings
- New leaf texture for pine leaves
- Refined ore textures (all 6 of them)
- Less ugly looking diamond block
- More support for WildGrass mod
- Refined redstone (looks less choppy)
- Better iron helmet (not just a slit)
- New bone icon (more realistic)
- New dye icons (more realistic)
- Re-done diamond and gold tools
- Partially finished "slot.png" file
- Fixed pixel problems in "dial.png"
- Softened fur texture on wolves
Enjoy!
You're all lucky I care more about updating this pack than I do about playing Portal 2!!

Anyways, to those of you creating Mixcraft, keep up the awesome work on this texture pack. I really do love it.
I'm mostly the only person creating Mixcraft, but there are a few other users that contribute...
I would say that Vexx is my "tech support" and Kris Eike is my "texture consultant"
yay for official recognition! I have temporarily and completely unofficially signed up for tech support in the MCPatcher Beta4 thread as well. There's about one of my posts per each of the last two pages on that thread. They're huge, and I've used almost ten or so quotes in each one. i take heart that some DO listen lol.

I have a problem with your pretty cool texture pack :
As the above problem, you have not patched your game.

Ahhh, new patcher etc worked wonders. Looking great as per usual! Now if only MC will actually give me some of the new weather i will be totally happy!
yeah.. I haven't seen any either. WTF?
Oh, and nice job with the complete v30, Koolwitak. Also, I suggets you attempt making some better clouds - the higher the resolution of your base image, the higher-definition the clouds will be. it appears that any size works (I've tested 2048x2048, but things like 4096x4096 seems to crash minecraft) and the hgher you go the better it looks. Only a slight lag increase up to 1024x1024.
I think I'm going to take the clouds out again for Version 31... I put them back in so they would look more realistic in the rain, but it just rained in my world and ther don't even get any darker. I also went up to one of my really high up houses that goes above the clouds and noticed that the rain is actually coming from above the cloud level...
If Notch is going to have clouds in this game, he could at least try to make them somewhat realistic.
Can someone like Kris Eike, Head Hunter, or Vexx confirm that everything is working correctly?
I'll have a look at it this evening. Mediafire seems to be down right now and I've got my reservations about the alternate download link - so I'll try Mediafire later and let you know.

"Don't know why you should feel that there's something to learn... it's just a game that you play."
Just a simple question, it's been a while since I used this texture pack, however I see the Creeper skin has been updated. Could you provide the old one as an alternate? I don't really like the red glowing eyes of this one. :sad.gif: Thanks in advance.
i seem to have a bug with my wooden stairs, the area in which you would tread on seems 'dark' blacked out as if in darkness, you can still see the patterns etc, but its as if it avoids light, im not sure if i've patched the texture improperly or anyone else having this bug?
*edit*
i've checked through other texture packs and they also have the same bug, im thinking its due to the patching i had to do to get this one to work O.o how do i fix it?
*second edit*
i've found out that its only 'new' wooden stairs which have this darkness bug, my old stairs other places are still the same
*third edit*
i've found that this disappears if i turn on 'smooth lighting' but i'd rather keep it switched as i find minor lag appearing when i turn it on
HEEEELP D:
It's just a glitch with the renderer, as as such not really anything we can do about it. It wouldn't matter which pack you used, it'd probably still occur.

You could always use the Hell Creeper skin, which I like. It's harder to see in the darkness, but it does have the advantage of not blending in with grass.

Unzip the file you downloaded, there's more than one pack in the download.

You sir, are probably breaking at least two rules here. No offence, but if you want to talk to him about things like that, use PMs; we don't need to look at this. Besides, if you took the time to look, Koolwitak already said he's not going to pirate it.

It all works, as far as I can see. I still think you should create your own clouds though. If you used a resolution of say 1024x1024 for the clouds.png, it'd be pretty HD in-game. Although, to get proper-looking clouds, you have to go higher than 2048x2048; but super-HD clouds wouldn't fit Minecraft anyway :wink.gif:

Well, so can you... :wink.gif: Try doing it with a clouds.png of size 1024x1024 - it'll be pretty damn HD in-game, so you should be fine. Have a few darker clouds for the moment, but when Notch decides to darken his clouds for rain in another release soon, bleach 'em. :smile.gif:
I love the texture pack and all but I can't patch Mixcraft properly. On the old patcher I did it perfectly fine (a while ago) but now I'm sorta confused on how to patch it on the new patcher. For the 'Output' part, do I put the Mixcraft HD there? For some reason I can't find it in the pack.
Help would be appreciated and thanks in advance!
Edit: When I look for Mixcraft HD in the v30 folder, I can only find the HD patcher. This only happens when I'm using the output thing to look for it.

Amidoinitwrong?
You pretty much are doing it wrong. The patcher included auto-fills in all the fields for you, and all you need to do is click on patch, let it do it's thing, then run Minecraft, open the mods and texture packs menu from the main menu, and open the texturepacks folder, drop the .zip in there, and pick it from the in-game chooser.

I managed to find an older version of mixcraft that I downloaded and got the Creeper from it, but I was asking in case other people liked that version of the Creeper.

Ohhhhhh. I did that and I didn't notice the HD patch so I patched a bunch of random stuff hoping for it to work. My bad, thanks for explaining it. The new patcher looked strange to me, I had the patch on the whole time (><). Thanks :smile.gif:
when rain hits the ground, it makes snow particles!
That's not snow. Water splashes when it strikes a surface.
This. However, it DOES look a little bit like snow lol.

I think the biomegrass hasn't been fixed, it still has just 1, static greencolor.
Why?
Because desaturating the grass textures has been forgotten.
Here's a fixed terrain.png:
Im not a texturepro like Koolwitak, so the colors are still a bit weird. I hope this gets fixed soon :smile.gif:
Nope, you just borked it, matey. WARNING: DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE TERRAIN.PNG that this guy posted. Reasons follow.
First, Koolwitak has no need to fully desaturate the grass normally - it's normally about 50% saturated to keep a good greenish colour. There was th first thing you didn't know. Here's another:
Second, it's NOT NECESSARY to desaturate the grass AT ALL, provided you partially desaturate the grasscolor.png. Koolwitak chose this second option because the grass will stay reasonably green no matter what biome you're in, while you CAN distinguish between biomes. I think I asked him this question myself several pages back; back when it was still v29 for MC 1.4 I think. Just after Notch added the sidegrass fix.
Im having a bit of a problem with the text pack for some reason when ever i try and craft something it crashes the game any reason why this is happoning and the mcpatcher-2.0.0-beta4 is not working right eather
Actually, it's not an "error" with pumpkins - it's an old issue that was finally corrected.
Something Notch did a while ago caused pumpkins to turn around - if you wore one on your head you'd see the "face" on the back of it.
He's fixed it now, so any pumpkins placed before will look like they've turned around.
