I actually had just wrote an April Fools post about the donation option, which I deleted. I really couldn't tell for a minute either. It'd be an obvious joke if you were to say for instance that the pack was now only to be available for people who had already donated.

No matter what I do, I can't seem to get it to install properly.
In the patcher, I AM using the Minecraft HD.zip and not the main vXX.zip, just to clear that up right off. And my Input/Output automatically filled in, but I checked them to make sure they were correct.
I have tried many combinations but to no avail. I have:
unchecked ALL options
checked ALL options
checked ONLY animated water/lava/fire
checked animated water/lava/fire as well as HD font
checked ONLY HD font
checked ONLY custom water/lava
Every single time minecraft crashes, and if I "Test Minecraft" in the patcher, I can see the error is:

@ Pre render
1281: Invalid value
I uninstalled between each test by deleting my entire BIN folder and redownloading it, and then testing Minecraft "as is" before I attempted another patch. I'd really like to try this out, but I'm done messing with. If anyone has any suggestions as to what the problem might be, PLEASE let me know.
I was trying to download mixcraft, and I followed the directions exactly, but when I selected my file and went back to complete texture packs, there was no zip file.
Is it a problem that I'm using a Mac? On Safari?

HD Patcher is not working because it's not updated to 1.4, as it says in the title..
The title says 1.4, and the download link was updated March 31, 2011, so I'm not really sure what you're talking about.
EDIT: I got it working. Apparently I accidentally switched texture packs in-game at some point (And apparently that variable is not in the BIN folder, so it never reset either).
As for Vetroit, I still have no idea what you're talking about, but it's working just fine. I think you were just attempting to be a smartass, and ended up coming off as a dumbass ;P
I don't know if this has been addressed yet, but I notice that the particles.png file is missing the hearts for when you tame a wolf. I added it in myself, but just wanted to let the modder know that it is missing in this updated texture pack :smile.gif: <===== Five Diamonds for you. AWESOME texture pack!!!!
EDIT: nvm, when I redownloaded it, the updated particles.png file was there ;P
it looks ok i wish people would put pictures of the items in their preivews but ive already seen most of them from you pack that is about the only thing i like i much rather prefer the gerudoku not bad though hope you can keep improving

I dont know if someone has brought this up before, but all of a sudden, my torches wont work anymore. The ones I have placed down already work, but when I try to go mining, they dont brighten anything up. I installed the pack correctly, and have been able to install it correctly on several computers, this problem still happens. This was happening in the v27 pack, and now again in the v28 pack. They seem to work when I use them to brighten up a house, but when I go mining, nothing lights up. This happens on both Fancy and Fast graphics. I had found and couldnt brighten up the cavern to see if there was any more. HELP!

Okay, wait a minute, I unpatched Minecraft and the torches still wont work when I try to place them in a mine... Nevermind, not your problem then.
Btw mixcraft owner guy? The mediafire download is not working for me, every time I click on the "Start Download" button it gives me this error
Then download the texture pack from the Rapidshare link (right below the Mediafire link)

I didn't think it was, because my pack can't affect how the game works, it can only change the look of it.
I'm getting a black screen when launching Minecraft, followed the steps, took out custom water, lava, portal boxes, still giving me a black screen. Help? It looks amazing and I really want to use it.

If you make sure to read the instructions, you will never need the texturepacks folder.
Your pack was the first HD texture pack I used when I got Minecraft (thanks to a recommendation on Shamus Young's Twenty-Sided blog) and still my favorite 32x texture pack.
Though I usually use a custom 64x compilation now, I've sent a small donation your way to help with further development. If you ever decide to venture into making 64x64 texture packs, I'll be most eager to follow that work! Thanks!

I can assure you the patcher does work with 1.4, because I installed Version 28 myself using the patcher included in the download.
